    Leveling choices?

    Hello,

I am currently Lv.22 and finding fate grinding very tedious.

I also tried leves but it gets boring too.

When I queue, it takes at least 20 minutes to get in the Guildhest or dungeon. Also, I can't seek a party (in duty finder) while in a party for FATE grinding which sucks

I tried questing but I already did all the story quests so I don't know where to go to get quests my level...?

Can someone please help me? I want to like my journey to Lv.50 not hate every second of it. I already have the other jobs to Lv.50 and only need ACN.

    Thanks!

You listed all of your options aside from an exp party grind, and then refuted them all either saying you didn't like them, they weren't convenient, or they weren't fast enough. You should probably just leave that class sub-50 then, since you aren't going to find a miraculous new way of leveling.

I have to say, this game does have more options in leveling than most others, but if you aren't enjoying any of them, then maybe it's not the game for you.

The main quests are designed to be done at every level, so get one more and some more will open up (edit: I realise after you might mean finished entirely, I thought you meant finished up to your lvl. If so go to next part). If you open your recommendations tab, it will suggest some side quests for you.

Aside from that, have you tried your hunting log? Its a good supplement to other methods. To be honest I didnt have to do much fate grinding at all until mid 35ish, hunting log, main quests, and dungeons for quests got me that far as well as jumping in nearby fates when one started nearby

Game is fun as hell at 50, the leveling options are all horrible and zero fun. I am having the same problems the OP is having where my journey to leveling WHM to 50 is a living hell, fates are boring, leves are ok but I don't have infinite to get to 50, hunting log is only a few levels of exp, dungeons are fun once, maybe twice, rarely anymore, and quests give almost no exp plus I barely have any left.

Best end game, one of the worst leveling experiences of any MMO I've played besides aion.

maurader to 32 tanking, stopped tanking until the dps community l2p
arcanist to 30 with story and side quests while qued as thurm in duty f, got bored of it
thurma to 49 with dungeons and post 30 story+side quests then had to do the last 50% of the level with about an hour of fates

filled in a couple of short spots and broke tedium with leves but not many, point being thats a lot of level with only 1 hour of actual 'group up in a "fate grind"'
ofc i didnt run away from fates in my way as i quested but its not grinding them thats for sure and being in dutyfinder queue means no leech xp

Unfortunately it's true.. you've already listed all of your leveling options One thing about this game that bothers me is that you have the OPTION of making your character all of the classes, but grinding all the way to 50 on all of those gets much more difficult and tedious once you go through the main 3 beginning areas once each. I'd be happy to complete the story quests on EACH class, and not just on one character. I know it doesn't make much sense that way.. but it's more enjoyable to me than leves and endless FATE grinding.

I find the story quests worse than any other option possible. Yay running around forever, clicking things, talking to npc's, running errands, and never actually BATTLING. I have a lot of fun in dungeons because mobs are challenging, give me a zone with dungeon mobs/bosses I can grind on in a party.

They need to add more quests or let us reflag the old ones for different classes/jobs. Honestly people will leave if fate grinding/dungeons and limited leves are the only way to get there.

Questing and the story are a big pull to many players, repetitive dungeons and fates are not.

Idk, I did ACN 0-49 so far almost completely on quests, only running most dungeons once (not just the main story ones, but all optional ones as well). There's always side quests in the areas the main story takes u to, plus I did all Guildhests and my class/job quests a long the way. I made it a habit of completing every quest in the area before moving on, which actually delayed my main scenario progress significantly. Then of course i completed the Hunting Log, which the main story also pretty much takes you to areas where the mobs for that are if you pay attention. But there were only a couple times I had to grind exp, both in Coerthas, and I did that on leves.

I think SE did a really good job with the quest progression. Every time you get to a new area there's lots of other quests you can do before moving on, most of which are from the same NPC or only open up at other NPCs after you have done certain other quests in the area.

This will get one of your classes to 50 quite easily, and I don't think it should be possible to quest every class to max lvl. It's just too fast and easy.

I did pretty much the same. I just hit 50 with ACN/SCH/SMN yesterday. Most of this was done going through quests and story missions that were appropriate for the level at the time. I did the hunting log for both ACN and the grand company as I went along. Only did most dungeons once with the exception of Haukke Manor due to the Sentry gliching so we couldn't complete. I did FATEs but didn't really spam them, just did them as they popped in the area I was in at the time, only a couple of times did I go out intending to do do some. The only time I joined an actual FATE party to spam some was to get from 49 to 50.

That said, I have now pretty much ran out of quests so I'm sure any other jobs I want to take to 50 will be vastly different and require a lot more FATEs and leves than what I did on ACN.
