TERA having a fast update speed isn't comparable to FFXIV. FFXIV is still very much in development and doesn't have a stable base to start pumping out 'updates' on.Some studios are better than other, most times it takes a long time, take D3 for example. Quality Control.
But then take TERA which has an insane update speed.
A call of duty game takes 2 years to create even with an fully steady built engine. Hell codmw3 is being developped by 3 studios lol But thats because IW are only in it for 1 year to ensure quality.

Let alone all of the spaghetti code being found. You can easily tell that this game was rushed, and that they didn't decide the deadline for themselves. However, even with all of the stringy codes, they have a pretty solid base to work with adding new code and re-organizing everything. Its must faster for them to pump out these updates than it would be if they had to completely redeisgn the game from scratch. In other words, they are working as fast as they can. They want to make money as fast as we want our updates.
As big of a game as this should've been, is being made into that game right now, with Tanaka (NOT CANNED) behind the scenes, implementing what he planned to implement. (With this said, no more whining about wanting Tanaka back, he is still with us.)
