Whilst I'm pretty sure there are instances in FFXI (there'd have to be a low upper ceiling on the amount of people who can do the same assault, for example which isn't the case), neither of those things were instanced, lol.

I'm confused by what your definition of "instanced" is. Each Dynamis and Promy were only accessible by your immediate party and if you exited you'd have to start all over again. How are these not instanced?

Anyone with an hourglass could have entered your Dynamis, it was not limited to your "immediate" party, but only limited to each Dynamis limit (up to 64 people for some), but yes, i would say that's an instance.

However, perhaps some people do not consider Dynamis as an instance because only 1 group (1 hourglass can be broken into multiples) can go in at one time, that means different groups could not do same Dynamis at same time.

(I do not know if that changed, I'm away from FFXI for year and a half and if dynamis is working different now, I apologize for wrong info).

So either that's the "new dungeon", or they're finally opening O'ghomoro up, or both.

Which may mean that Paglith'an and Xelphatol might be opening up as well, at least in dungeon form first. Who knows?
