Yes im 100% sure, its been like that since Alpha. Look on old release pictures. You sure?, I've never seen it in screens before and its actually this icon.
Meaning they have yet to make an icon for the function, could be anything though.

These last several updates I find myself logging in for maybe 20-30 minutes after each one has been implemented, then not logging in til the next one. Maybe I'm not giving this game enough of a chance to hold my interest but since playing the beta, I feel the same - that it is lacking "soul". The "cut & paste" landscape may seem insignificant to the makers but it seriously detracts from the experience of the game for me. It takes me out of experience. A good director always shows the audience what he wants them to see in every shot - nothing is arbitrary. This is what needs to happen with FFXIV, and is something I miss when I was first playing FFXI. This is what should be their full focus, and all the cosmetic changes and fixes seem only to distract and placate. I may not have a full picture from those of you that have been playing throughout the release, but for me I am hanging onto a thread, hoping they will get it right.
Also, regarding the last paragraph:
I would suggest to producers to refrain from posting items on the JP side until all translations are available, since NA and EU players are also paying customers and should get equal access to the information.Oh, and one more thing, I’ve seen some auto-translations of some of my posts going up on the forums. A recent one concerning synthesis actually starting spreading some misinformation before our official translation came out. I know I post at crazy hours sometimes, and that there are time lags, but ask that you please refrain from posting these translations in the forums. Thanks, and talk to you again soon!

Agreed. And if anything, it just shows how desperate we are for actual information.Originally Posted by gentlepie

My thoughts exactly. Game lacks that spark, that magic that draws you in and makes you want to explore. These last several updates I find myself logging in for maybe 20-30 minutes after each one has been implemented, then not logging in til the next one. I would suggest Blizzard only posts information in Chinese first.
I would suggest NCsoft only post information in English first.
I would suggest Bluehole Studio only post information and updates in English first.
Why on earth would a company not post in their native language as they can do it on the spot..?

I did not say SE should not post in their native language. It just makes sense that if you're going to post for an internationally released game, you want to give all your customers the information at once, not the japanese customers first. I think it's a matter of respect. Respect for the fact that we shelled out money for this game too and are also just as eager to hear what's going on, as opposed to saying, "It's not important, I'll tell you later." One thing I forgot to add is that they have the right to continue to do so, of course, just don't tell your fans to stop translating your posts if you won't release them in other languages simultaneously.I would suggest Blizzard only posts information in Chinese first.

We do get equal access to the information, it's not like they don't translate them. Also we usually get the official translations within a day.
