Solo healign Garuda HM

So, I was told scholars are supposed to solo heal garuda HM and let the whm dps.
Is this true and how is it done?
I only asked because i got invited to a group and they made me solo heal it. Theres so much aoe dmg in that fight, succor aitn worth anything.

Solo healing as in your fairy and you heal the tank. White mage goes damage dealer and reverts back to healing during sisters/clone phase. Soon as it is over go back to damage dealing. It takes some practice, but I don't know if it is really worth it in the end. Speeds things up though.

can he do it? probably yes...

with a good equip (more than what should be apropriate for the trial diffculty level) and good experience of the fight (u have to know exactly when aoe are coming in order to preshield them to lessen the aoe dmg... but this is also something that usshold have achived AFTER clearing it... and/or after multiple run) and with a cooperative party (not one where dps go to sleep mid fight leaving most of the stone getting destroyed or where ranged stuck toghter in order to get EVERYONE the dmg from the ranged attack.... and off tank that can position the 2 sister in the right place and not in front of the ranged/healers...)

with those condition... yes u can do it... like a WHM can while u dps the boss... there is no really a great difference once u know when dmg is coming and other people are doing their job right... also if u got your cleric stance the dmg difference betwwen a stanced WHM and a stenced SCH shold not be that much different...

Garuda HM is so easy I don't even see a reason to do this....unless the DPS you are running with are horrible.

It's been a while since you queued up with sub-par gear, hasn't it?

SCH is the more effective damage dealer, in my opinion, but both classes should consider healing through the fight. People have been watching videos that convinced them they should stack all DPS in a corner together, allowing Garuda's targeted AOE to slap large portions of the raid at one time. Until people realize they can (and should) spread out to minimize AOE impact, healing is going to be irritating.

I'm not sure why you would want a SCH to solo heal when you have a WHM. SCH does much more DPS and has Eos/Selene for offheals.
