Suggestion on classes vs jobs

As of now, classes are entirely pointless. They were/are supposed to be better for soloing, but in reality they aren't.. Anything you are trying to solo will be easier on the job because they have a huge stat difference in every attribute. This is a little annoying because there is really no reason to try to use a class instead of a job, and this just makes there be less choices in what you can be. I wanted to play as Archer instead of bard, but my DPS will take a hit because of the 20 dex loss. In my opinion the classes should have a different stat build instead of just being completely worse than jobs, or at least there should be a smaller gap in stats. I know you can use many more skills on a class, but it really doesn't make up for the loss of stats especially on a class like gladiator that puts multiple stats to use. Also it would be nice to have the option to put nukes(Fire/Ice mainly) back on DoW, even if it is a little pointless.

Personally I'm happy the class becomes obsolete. Classes are lame. Personally, I want to play this game because I can play cool classic FF roles like Dragoon or Paladin and not be a lame Lancer or Gladiator. This applies even to when I'm soloing. I would hate it if the most efficient way to do my solo activities would be to run as boring class over the cool job.

I'm saying there should be a choice, so we can mix it up. The system is a little weak atm with alot of wasted potential.

You are aware they are adding more jobs per class? Class is just the basis of the job, nothing more nothing less.
