I am trying to figure out what the point of observe is? Can someone explain this to me?? Lol

To stabilize your synthesis. It will usually go back to white after use.

It's basically to use a step doing nothing, not using up durability, not gaining anything.

Its only real use is getting rid of Poor, or using it after Great Stride to maybe get a Good or Excellent status.

Imo is is absolutely useless considering there are always better options.

I did not realize that Condition only affected Touches. I grant that this makes Observe less useful, but it's still the cheapest way to reroll Condition when you don't want to do a Synth step, and the other free abilities aren't available to you.

The Poor status doesn't affect Synths though.

Synths are actually the best ways to get past a poor status, as long as it doesn't finish the item.

Observe is the last resort for getting rid of a "poor" condition. I use it when a single Careful Synth would finish the craft before I'm ready to, or when I can't sacrifice some durability for a Hasty Touch. Ever since I got Rumination, I've had to use Observe a lot less while mass producing HQ thread and undyed cloth.

I use it a lot with Great Stride, sometimes it is very usefull. (when I cant use Synthesis)
