3102 - Hacked

I was hacked as well Monday morning. Unguessable password, random letters, numbers, and punctuation. Only play on PS3 and use a Mac. No gil buying or any of that nonsense. Was not using a security token, but have since added the iPhone app. The hacker didn't create any new characters, just used mine to shout for gil.

I changed my password, added the token and got on with live chat first thing yesterday. They kicked him off and said if I was missing anything to contact them again. I am missing around 700k gil so I contacted the live chat again this morning. I had to answer a ton of questions regarding my account, and all they did was give me a ticket number and asked me to provide that ticket number and a photo copy of my Driver's Licence to a Customer Support email address. They then explained that there is no ETA on if/when I will get my gil reinstated, and informed me that my account may still get banned because there is a couple of days delay with GMs who are banning accounts. If my account gets banned I gotta go back to the live chat and give them the ticket number again to start that process.

At this point, keep the gil, I don't really care. Just don't ban my account. I've been playing this game since the original beta, I'm not a gil seller.

My question is for the fellow hacked players, has anyone gotten hacked and NOT banned? The hacker was on my account for probably an 1-1.5 hours max. I took care of business pretty quickly, but am still concerned that I'm going to get booted.

Wow, i'm glad you got through. But really?! A driver's liscence? I don't even drive a car. I can drive a 12 sled dog team, but cars freak the crap outta me enough that i will never get myself behind the wheel for that kind of responsibility. Go figure. (my point is not everyone has a driver's liscence and just odd they would request one). Only license i got is the one for my lead team (snicker).

My poor attempt at humor to at least put some light on a dismal situation.

Also, on a more serious note, if they kicked the individual off, I wonder if they made note of the the ISP used, perhapse even making a log of it and compare it with other people's accounts facing the same issue. That could lead to some interesting results. Then again...they could be hiding their isp also, and i'm just not certain how to actually do so. However, since its all about money, there has to be a money trail somewhere leading crumbs to the crooks.

Would be nice if SE or some authority were to create a team and infiltrate the hackers, gil sellers, and open up their can of worms. (just rambling..too mutch Castle I suppose)
