Just started turn 4...curious to any monks who have done this fight do you feel like we are the worst class for this encounter? We do have low aoe when perfect balance isn't up and the 360 cleaves don't help, just curious.

Simple answer, no.
You can clear turn 4 with very minimal Aoe since most of the phases require more single target burst than aoe but monk aoe is actually alot better than most seem to think, and a regen is more than enough to keep a monk up as long as you are using defensive cooldowns to mitigate or heal up some of the aoe from the clockwork knights yourself.
Monks are pretty OP right now if used correctly but i wouldn't say no to a buff lol![]()

I know, and these mega bads are gonna try to make them broken OP. It's one of the classes you cant be lazy on. This OP thinks because his numbers arent bigger than a DRG he does less dmg, just that statement from him alone made me go nuts by how bad he is.
ps. my bro in ilvl70 with relic weapons pulling 240-250 dps as mnk. Yup, needs a buff.

oh yeah, on what fight? test dummy raid boss? i can pull 280+ dps but when my GL stacks fall off every minute or so in a lot of end game fights it gimps our damage. it's not that the class can't do a lot of damage, its that monks damage drops down several tiers depending on the fight due to terrible class design whereas other classes kind of always stay around the same potency.I know, and these mega bads are gonna try to make them broken OP. edit:
we also don't provide much utility and have to deal with a lot of anti-melee boss mechanics. besides our damage, which varies on each boss, what do we bring to the table? a melee limit break, a 40 second cd stun with a pretty delayed animation, a silence that is on the gcd and requires a certain stance while not hitting any other buttons until you use it (basically unusable), 10% INT reduction, completely garbage aoe unless we pop a 3 min CD which is best used for putting GL back up after one of the many times where we lose our stacks. the point is, all we have is damage (which is a problem) and if most of the end game boss fight mechanics prevent us from doing that damage then that is just bad design and needs to be reevaluated.

Coming from you, this is encouraging. May I ask about your rotation? Specifically, do you weave Impulse Drive into your rotation, generating higher DPS but risking GL and TP sustainability, or does your 2 BRDs remove the latter? Or, do you just go through your basic form rotations as quickly as possible?
Monks are fine for turn 4. What we lack in aoe we make up for in burning dreads and knights. I was quite commonly top dps in my group of smn, monk, x2 bard. I did have more 90 pieces and bards were running songs, so that was part of the reason.
