    Instead of just increasing the duration of Greased Lightning, how about something that requires the user to be more active rather than passive?

    Change Enhanced Featherfoot to give 1 stack of Greased Lightning, increase the base evasion from 15% to 25%.
    Change Shoulder Tackle to give 1 stack of Greased Lightning, lower its cooldown down to 30s, remove the stun effect.

    The issue I see with MNK's right now is the itemization sucks. SE in there infinite wisdom decided to put pretty much nothing but Skill Speed on our gear. The speed we attack with just GL3 is enough to lower the GCD to where it needs to be. From what I have seen with the Allagan gear from Bahamut that stuff is loaded with crit+determination. So I could see a MNK with all bahamut gear just tearing up everyone in dps. Other than that Shoulder Tackle like everyone says is about the only other major change needed. Remove the stun on it and make it a 15s CD is fine with me.

    i also want haymaker to give 1 stack of greased lightning. not that it would significantly change anything in late game where you're not supposed to get hit.

    True Strike is an absolute garbage ability. Impulse Drive basically replaces it. I'm about to take it off my bar completely.

    Please make it do something useful.

    True Strike is a very good optimization ability, it moves your combo to the next step and has 150 potency (along with +5% crit rate from the back but that is irrelevant).
    Generally you will want to alternate Twin Snakes and True Strike in your second step, changing every time, because you have enough Twin Snakes time to do that. Also specially useful to maintain your DPS higher in case standing at the enemy's side proves to be a difficulty due to area hazards (suffered that against Aiatar and in the Aurum Vale)

    I forgot to say about skill Perfect BAlance. Cool down 3 MINUTES just for what? To begin the battle with boss with 3 Snap Punches to make a stack of GL and on the nearest pause to lose all this stack? Very very stupid and useless skill. For example black mages can switch their auras every 12 seconds. Monks need to be rebalanced

    Before you make that conclusion, I advise you to look over this test on ID v. True Strike and the few posts before and after it.

    GL3 is very powerful. If you could switch it on at will, everything MNK is balanced around would be thrown out of whack.

    Perfect Balance is one of two things: an oh-shit button or an overconfidence button.

    "Oh-shit" because you lost your GL3 at a critical moment and need it up quick.
    "Overconfidence" because you used it at the start of a battle.

    I never feel "weak" in dungeons, it's Solo that I experience problems. The inability to flank the target makes any real damage output a chore. This is all from a pugilist perspective though, there may be a skill that fixes this down the line for me, I simply don't know. Even with the lower hits I still have a blast with this class.

    With the sheer amount of AE's that punish Melee, coupled with the importance of MNKs needing to keep GL3 up as much as possible, I'd like to see 2 changes:

    * Shoulder Tackle - CD reduced to 30/45 secs, remove Stun component instead grants the 1st stack of GL.
    * Greased Lightning 3 duration increased by 3 seconds.

    Losing stacks of GL due to moving out of AE or switching to adds stings a lot, these changes alleviates the pain a little. Tackle's changes lets us be a bit more mobile, rushing back into the fray after dodging AE or taking care of adds, and gaining our 1st stack (GL1) in case GL dropped, saving a bit of ramp up time. Speaking of ramping up, the 2nd change would buy a little breathing room when actually dodging AEs or going mob to mob when soloing.

    just this and monk is perfect

    i am top tier dps in every single dungeon, hard mode, coil and i did alot already. Monk dps is more than fine, but i guess there are 99% casuals in forum anyway
