New classes/jobs coming

Will new classes and jobs be getting added into the game in the future?

For example, where's thief/rogue, what about ninja? Red Mage?

And I really, really would love to have my future archer beable to become a Ranger.

What is the news regarding new future classes?

They're planning on it. About the closes to knowing what we're getting is Musketeer, and that's not even a 100% at this point.

As has been stated, there's been little news lately about new classes or Jobs, so all we have to go on is what's been said in the past, some of it contradictory, but the general belief is that new classes and Jobs will probably be added sometime before the first expansion due in a year's time, so any time between now and then could see new classes and Jobs added. But take that with a grain of salt.

They have said they hope to release Jobs in large patches, and additional classes in major expansions, I hope they have some extra jobs they are hiding from up to release this summer, because without something fresh, I think they will loose quite a few subscriptions to competition releasing this year.

They have staff employed especially for classes and balancing. You can't use those people for making Quests or Dungeons because that's not their forte.
In 1.1 this guys made (or tried to make) PvP valiable. But I wonder what they are working on since 2.2, because in this patch I don't see any big changes or balances between the classes.

So basicaly I hope their working on new Jobs.

no large changes doesn't mean no new one.

I dont' think there will be a new class this patch, but I would like one day they don't tell anything(about one feature) and we discover it in game a new zone, class, dungeon...something like that.
