Unable to cast protect while level sync'd

So unlocked sch the other day. FC member was looking to run toto rak (lvl 24). I thought this would be a good chance to "feel" out the sch.

So I joined. Fairy pet worked as expected. Level sync'd, since i was under level denied me access to the sch abilities as expected. But what i found REALLY odd was i could not cast protect. It basicly told me my class is not allowed. Which is interesting because protect is flagged for BOTH ARN and SCH.

Level sync would reduce the number of additional skills you can equip, so likely Protect was "removed" as an additional skill. Maybe it was the last one you added?

If not, then I have no idea.

Two things to remember:
1 - You get one cross-class slot for every 5 levels you have and being on a job halves that number.
2 - Slots are unlocked left to right.

You are synched down to level 24, which means you'd have 4 cross-class slots, being on Scholar means you'd have half that, so 2 slots. They unlock left-to-right which means that only the two leftmost slots would be unlocked, that means that Protect is probably on the third, fourth or fifth slot
