Kick function NEEDS to work!

What about the whole watch vs. skip cutscenes? If someone wants to watch their cutscene then i can see this being abused to kick that person.

There are even people who openly talk about locking the person out of the boss fight on purpose because they don't skip the scene.

Kick would be used to remove people watching cut scenes. It will never happen because you can leave the instance and do it again yourself without a leech later.

I can't see 3 or 7 people ALL agreeing to kick the guy watching his cutscene. What if multiple people are watching? Can't kick all of them.

And wouldn't locking someone out of a boss fight because they're watching a cutscene be harming the group? I mean you can sit there for a free ride to the boss kill or watch them fail it since they were too impatient.

I'm actually gonna take this one step further -

If you walk into a room with 7 random strangers, and your assumption is that 5 or more of them are assholes, I'm pretty sure I can point out the asshole in the room.

If you walk into a room with 3 random strangers, and your assumption is that all 3 of them are assholes, I know who the asshole in the room is.

I don't know why people automatically assume a vote-to-kick option would be abused to kick the undergeared.

In my worst experience, Tera for example, the 15man battlegrounds. Occasionally a player would pop up with incredibly low item level. Think L30/40 white/green gear at L60. Or a 60 would put on low level gear as a joke (not the reflect types.) Or someone would prevent the afk auto-kick by running into a wall so they could get the other 14 people to carry them to their points. Members would repeatedly try to kick them, but there's always that one person who goes "NO that would be mean ;_; " Being THAT undergeared, you are helping nothing. Purposely trying to make your team lose, or being afk expecting a carry, I don't know why anyone wouldn't kick them.

Far more often people abuse the fact that a vote-to-kick system doesn't exist or is flawed, rather than dicks abusing it because you aren't "overgeared" for an instance.

We arent assuming it will be abused to kick undergeared players, its a near certainty that it will. Theres also the "kick the person watching the cut scenes" people, along with the "kick the person because I dont like their server/charactername/race" people. To believe it wont be abused for some asinine reason is naive to say the least. Id rather have them have some sort of "minimum participation threshold" that the average person even with minimal effort can achieve, in order to get the reward. Since having someone put in minimal effort is far better than no effort albatross'. It will at least force them to move and at least press a few buttons for fear of getting a Duty Complete but no reward.

I agree with the vote to kick option. It can be abused, yes...but it still is needed, IMO. Too many jerks in this game, atm.

I don't play MMO's normally so there could be a technical term for this but what if there's some sort of feedback/rating system. People give a score or like a thumb up or thumb down (positive or negative) and can add a comment--then when the duty finder finds all the members, you can have a minute or two to review the members and decide whether you want to proceed with that party. That way, you'll know ahead of time whether to do the duty with that person instead of having a "kick" feature.

I know kicking can be abused, but there are people out there abusing the lack of a kick feature. People will go in to troll or leech and unless everyone else wants to drop and requeue, there's nothing you can do about it :/ I would really like a vote kick feature.

You make it so you need half the PT to also approve, so if 4/7 people vote yes (obv dont count the guy being kicked cus he would say no lol), its KICK!!

This needs to be added, badly.

It should be more like all of the others voting yes not just four. That way it would cut down on the chance of griefing by a small team of trolls.

We need a kick specifically for asshats who go (Like a certain tank I encountered today) who ran around aggroed everything and then attempted to wipe the group with his adds all the while spamming "XD". That and those afkers who sit at the beginning of CM being a waste of space just to leech.

Ya, there's no easy way around this. You implement it, then certain "jobs" get kicked because people think it's not optimal. Other people get kicked because their gear isn't perceived good enough by some in the party. It can go on and on, it's a double edged sword, not sure what they need to do to rectify certain situations.
