Kick function NEEDS to work!

I don't know why people automatically assume a vote-to-kick option would be abused to kick the undergeared.

In my worst experience, Tera for example, the 15man battlegrounds. Occasionally a player would pop up with incredibly low item level. Think L30/40 white/green gear at L60. Or a 60 would put on low level gear as a joke (not the reflect types.) Or someone would prevent the afk auto-kick by running into a wall so they could get the other 14 people to carry them to their points. Members would repeatedly try to kick them, but there's always that one person who goes "NO that would be mean ;_; " Being THAT undergeared, you are helping nothing. Purposely trying to make your team lose, or being afk expecting a carry, I don't know why anyone wouldn't kick them.

Far more often people abuse the fact that a vote-to-kick system doesn't exist or is flawed, rather than dicks abusing it because you aren't "overgeared" for an instance.

Theres also the "kick the person watching the cut scenes" people, along with the "kick the person because I dont like their server/charactername/race" people. To believe it wont be abused for some asinine reason is naive to say the least. Id rather have them have some sort of "minimum participation threshold" that the average person even with minimal effort can achieve, in order to get the reward. Since having someone put in minimal effort is far better than no effort albatross'. It will at least force them to move and at least press a few buttons for fear of getting a Duty Complete but no reward.

The abuse would be a lot less frequent than what happens currently. Your treshold idea would do nothing to reduce the abuse, the jerks that are currently abusing would just do whatever is needed to attain the treshold, and then stop doing anything. And if you force people to be active for the entire dungeon, it probably would become not interesting to join an ongoing dungeon.

i know wow had a vote kick system that needed to be approved by the majority of the remaining players before passing also to avoid people abusing the system they had implemented that if you initiated a kick on someone you had a timer till you were able to kick someone again though i rarely saw people being kicked from the group, minus the people who just went nuts.

....and another very valid concern brought by the community, ignored by the community management team. Guess this will be like anything else. We wont hear a thing until patch day someday in the future where this will all of a sudden get added. Sure wish we had better communication. This isn't the 90s anymore SE!

Sounds like you want a "report AFK" button enough vote and if the person does not move then they are kicked out, This would not fix all cases and some people would find away around but, It would stop some of the abuse, without people kicking for gear checks/etc...

Why not just make a minimum damage threshold to get credit for the dungeon sort of like how FATEs work, or at the very least require the person to be inside the actual final boss zone to receive credit?

FC mates had a WHM join an Ifrit run specifically to pull hate and wipe the group, forcing someone else to take the 15 minute lockout. 15 minutes isn't the end of the world, but when a dickbag forces you to get locked out just because there isn't a vote-kick, something definitely needs to happen.

Even if SE thought the game wouldn't be popular, I'm surprised they didn't think to add a vote-kick for DF. It's just so blatantly obvious.

There needs to be a vote kick, participation doesnt matter if you cant win because tank is afk or someone is trolling and fks everything up.

You make it so you need half the PT to also approve, so if 4/7 people vote yes (obv dont count the guy being kicked cus he would say no lol), its KICK!!

It should be more like all of the others voting yes not just four. That way it would cut down on the chance of griefing by a small team of trolls.
