    Armoire - PS3

SE, I believe, unless I am mistakenly doing something wrong, that the Armoire for the PS3 version is broken.

I have tried both Green & Pink gear, both at 100% SPB/Repaired, but it will not allow me to put either within the Armoire. I have a good few pieces of gear that are untradable and unsellable, as well as non-converitble.

Is it possible that it is just not working?

Thank you in advance for any information!

What would it be like at the apex of separation? That point when all the steam has left your existence….”

So far looks like only AF and swimsuits (the old colored ones) are storable. Maybe darklight too but I cannot yet confirm it myself
Maybe they will expand the storable list in the near future.

As best I can work out it only stores specialist and event items (pretty much the same as the AF item storer and event item storer that we had in FFXI). Essentially it's for things you can only get 1 time and never repeat (dungeon green/pink stuff you could technically get again).

The majority of items won't go in there I'm afraid. I can store in it my AF gear, Onion Helm, Garlond Goggles, Asusran Armguards, but interestingly only 5/7 sets of the male swimwear from this event and not the new Moogle hat thing from pre-order. I don't think the Helm of Light goes in there either.

Maybe they'll patch it soon so that we can add the other special items, that's what used to happen after events on FFXI, you couldn't get the newest things in the NPC straight away, but they'd add it in during a patch afterwards.

It's unlikely it'll ever work for free item storage for normal things though, sorry!

We really need to be able to store any item. I'm getting close to running out of space, and just being able to store my swimsuits isn't going to help much.

Better idea, Square plan better inventory management.
Then you can sell stuff for the purpose of making money, not just to dump it.

This *is* their better inventory management. They want you dumping stuff into the market to free up space; it keeps the market moving.

We already get 25 storage spaces for each part of our armour (easily enough for something different for every job) and 4 pages of inventory too (100 items).

Then if you've got far enough in the main story (a few hours work?) we also get two retainers, each of whom can store 175 items.

Then there's the armoire in our room which isn't overly helpful, but it can store the majority of stuff which is one time only and you don't want/can't discard it.

I used to hoard everything as well, but then realised that's really pointless and sold it on the auction houses, for pretty much pennies. Which also means if I want those items back again later, there won't really be much problem buying them back and they won't cost me a huge amount to do so either.

Keep your inventory slots for green/pinks or things you're crafting with right now. Anything else, sell/convert/discard.

Let's see here. 80+80+80+80+80+80=480. In FFXIV you have 100 inventory slots, 25 slots in each of 12 equipment positions in the Armory Chest (I won't count the Soul Crystal section since it simply holds all your soul crystals and doesn't interact with anything else), 175 slots each on two retainers. 100+25*12+175+175=750. Plus everything except equipment stacks to 99, *and* all your clusters/crystals/shards go into a special, separate section that holds thousands of them, as opposed to FFXI where most stuff stacked to 12, a lot of stuff (like gathered logs and ore) didn't stack at all, and crystals had to fit into your general inventory. Oh, and in FFXI equipment you were wearing counted against your inventory. Tell me again how you have less space now.
