I know I am a smidgen late to the party, but I wanted to ask and see what others are putting on their Novus weapons.

Many whm live and die by piety spellspeed and determination. I personally have used piety and spellspeed on my whm nexus (33 piety, 42 spellspeed). The extra mana is useful for progression when needed in raids as well as holy in dungeon runs and the spellspeed is nice to have on whm, since some of the spell have a very very long cast time. Determination is a sought after stat on whm, increasing all your heals and damage in cleric stance. Arguments can be used about having a healthy amount of crit on whm as well, since they effect HoT ticks and aoe healing quite well.

Other consideration is amount of gil to spend on novus, determination seemingly being a very expensive stat to put in novus regardless of which server you are on.

As for my thoughts about Novus:
Personally I favour Piety and Determination to cap out on a Novus/Nexus/Plexus.
Piety offers more sustain as a white mage, a "common" problem for a lot of white mages
Determination raises the amount of HP restored on a reliable level - roughly 25 det for an increase of 10.
Critical hit rate may or may not conserve you MP. On average, every 1% crit increase raises your average HP recovered/cast by 0,5%. Keep in mind that this does not translate to effective HP recovered.

Depending on how you heal and how often you actually try to DPS next to healing, you may or may not want to consider accuracy for the remaining points.

And spell speed? Not even worth considering imo. You can read it up in the topics I linked at the start of this post.

IMO the perfect thing would be to go for determination & piety. Unfortunately I don't have enough gils so I went for determination, piety and spell speed.

I capped Determination and Piety, then went with Accuracy for the remainder.

MND is the most important but you need to meld secondary stats.
Secondary stats mean very little actually.
Best secondary stat is Determination.
The rest dont mean much but because this game requires so much dodging I like spell speed. Sometime you dont have much time to stand still and cast and getting that one spell or one extra spell off can mean the difference. I know most like piety over spell speed. It aint always about how much you cure but when you cure. To me mp is rarely a issue and there are bards most of the time if it does.

Maxed out Piety on mine, then did a mix of Determination and Crit only because I'm cheap and will not pay 500K for a Determination 4 Materia. I find having more Mana is far more useful then an extra 5 HP (average) added to my Cure 1.

I did Piety, then Determination and Spell Speed. I can't remember exact numbers, but my Piety was 30 something and then 20 something for Deter and SS.
