Which of these do you think a player is more likely to think?

"I'm going to put all my points in Int so I can be a true Summoner! I'm never ever playing Scholar!"

"You need a healer today?... Guess I could spend 10k seals..."

Have you played World of Warcraft? I think very very few people, if anyone, disliked the addition of Dual Specialization (where after a one-time fee, you could now freely swap between two specializations without having to go back to town and pay to swap). Between being able to play two specs to their full potential (if you have appropriate gear), or only being able to play one well until you spend a lot to play the other... I strongly opt for the former.

And because there's currently no good decision-making in allocating stat points for most classes, I think just increasing base stats for each class/job makes the most sense.
