You failed to log in and pick a server weeks upon weeks before Phase 4, and thats SE's Service issues?! You failing to bother to log in and hit a button is THEIR Fault? lol...I admit SE have many problems, but this is yours not theres blaming them for your incompetence invalidates any rightful information that goes before the last sentence!

Love this argument. "You weren't following the game everyday until launch, then when you log into a JP server and you can't transfer you complain? You're dumb!" I'm sorry. I really can't see where you're coming from. Sure all the fanboys from 1.0 would be following the game very closely and wouldn't miss a beat. Everyone else didn't care enough about beta from 1.0, probably because we played 'beta' for years, and were waiting for launch/P4 before checking the game out and making a choice to play or not. Did I get a server transfer email? Yea I'm pretty sure I did some where back in June or something. Did I care? No, because I wasn't playing the game nor did I have contact with the people that I played with in 1.0 to make a decision on where to transfer to. So I check out the game in P4 and find out that the server is maybe 5% NA and the rest JP and I can't transfer anymore. The only people left in my ls's are the ones that missed the server transfer because they weren't following the game.

Please go on about how I was the foolish one here to expect server transfers at launch. I'd really like a good read.

The fact you didn't need to follow the game everyday like you seem to believe? Or the fact you chose to IGNORE the email as you couldn't be bothered to keep in touch with people you played V1 with?

So first we have Arrogance, followed by your own ignorance. Not a good start really are we, when trying to justify something in your favour.

Calling me a fanboy? Far from I'm usually first to voice my opinion on something SE does thats completely and utterly stupid. This however wasn't. You got the Emails. You had the common knowledge from V1 pre-ARR info, and yet still failed to do that simple click click BOOM done?

I'm betting if SE offered a free Minion, when clicking a link in said email to pick your new Server's they'd be probably 90% less of this "It's SEs fault I'm lazy" whines with regards to being locked on a Server you didn't wanna be on.

You'd check info about this, which did indeed offer Server Transfers at soft launch (Open Beta/Early Access is generally referred to as a Soft Launch.) You can't blame SE because you chose not to keep up with info. I mean please be realistic, why did you choose not to keep up with info about the game you planned to play? You had a month to do a server transfer application basically - you're telling me during the entire half year of beta for ARR you never looked into it once or even information about it..? They emailed every one who played 1.0 about server transfers, if you posted even once on lodestone forums, you got an email because you played till at least level 2 even if you quit a week later, you got an email as a previous FFXIV player.
