Day night cycles are too short!!!

Well, my free time from being a 1.0 player is up.. and i gotta say, its a beautiful place to be in.

As soon as the character creation restrictions are removed, i'm looking forward to subbing and get through the story.

From my few days playing there's only one strong thing which i'd like to come to the forums and talk about.. the day night cycles feel way too short!!!

The graphics are gorgeous here.. and i love playing during the daytime.. but with all the rain, and the 1/2 hour day/night cycles.. the wonderful sun (and lighting effects) get robbed from me just when i'm starting to enjoy them being on.

The night time is okay, better than other mmo's.. but no where near as nice as day!!!!

My suggestion would be to make the daylight cycles 1 hour, with 1/2 an hour of night.. that would do the trick just fine... and cure my "is it night already" moment of sad every hour.

There are few mechanics based on weather and day time (especially for Fisher). Tweaking the cycle would require SE to rebalance the class (and other mechanics that exist that use it).

It wouldn't be too bad if they extended day and night by about 10 minutes each. The cycles do feel extremely quick.

I do strongly agree on this. My favorite part of the days are Sundown and Rise though :P LOVE these times of day!

The problem with stretching them is the unspoiled gathering points. They're only once a day. To us gatherers that gather things like gold ore, gold sand (acn class books), crawler cocoons (all vanya gear and then some), clusters (pretty much all star recipes), etc. this would make them significantly more difficult to get and make.
