Loose use of the term "eliteist"

First of all, I don't take orders on what words I should use from someone who thinks the words 'loose' and 'lose' are interchangeable.

That aside, it's not the requirement of basic skills that makes people call someone an elitist. It's the attitude with which it's presented. If I'm messing up and someone makes a friendly suggestion on how I should handle things I say "Thank you!" and then I try it.

When I'm having trouble and someone instead insults me and goes on a long tirade about it, I'm less inclined to take that advice graciously.

I actually find your post incredibly fascinating, as it actually took me back to a scenario earlier in Garuda that wasn't going so great. I was mismanaging my mana, and had another Scholar go in a tirade about "The Pride of the Scholar", how one should never go oom, and how I was making Scholars look bad. This was also the reason we were wiping, and definitely not because everyone was standing in front of Garuda as she was being repositioned after adds spawned.

Suffice to say I altered my HUD so I could watch it more closely, and am definitely paying more attention to it now, but that could have been achieved by simply mentioning it instead of raving and driving half the raid group away. I think it may have been because one of the other members of the group asked if she was actually healing (oh no, not the elitist ego!) as she was always on full mana. In the end, the group broke up, and then next run we completed it without problems and the SCH book dropped. :P

Just sayin' "Loose use of the term" is correct. People are using the term loosely.
