    Death and "Home pointing"

Managed to walk into a group of 75~ mobs on my way back to Ul'dah, including a few that were aggressive. After getting one-shotted, I opened the ever so familiar menu and went to return. As my character got up, another monster aggro-ed me, killing me. My character was brought to my destination, dead. I had to hit return again to have the game "return" me to that exact same location.

Why is my character targetable while I stand and the game goes through the process of sending me home? If I have accepted the return, I can no long take beneficial effects from allies, so the idea only serves to get me killed again and arrive dead at the Camp.

    Pointless. Change this. Thanks ^_^

Edit: Alright, so I started this post shortly after having to return for a second time. I hit return, screen goes black and says "Loading". I leave, take a shower, grab something to eat. Screen is black, says "Loading". Give me a break. This game would have done much better sitting in alpha/beta phases. Why in the hades was the game actually sold? Lack of the things that make a game a game (i.e. Compelling story or intriguing gameplay), basic mechanics not functioning? Jesus guys. I came from 5+ years off FFXI and I honestly expected more.

I agree with you, why being able to be killed over and over is rather strange. When the game was first released the lag was so terrible, I was able to get right back up and keep fighting monsters, even being able to kill high level monsters before the game eventually teleported me back after the 50th death.

That said, I think you are gravely mistaken to believe releasing the game early was a mistake. SE did this with FFXI as well, I don't believe JP had Chocobos for quite some time in FFXI, nor anywhere near as many jobs as there are now. There is more pressure, and more input to the devs when the game is released. I honestly don't think the game could have come as far as it has if it had not been released early on.

Indeed. The early release was a double-edge blade...at same time it was terribly frustrating to players to see how the game was at release, it put alot of pressure over development team to make things better and faster.

But i'm sure this game will have an even quality FFXI had when it was released for PS2 when the time for PS3 release come. ^^
