Dem donjons r hard.

This is only the beginning. SE has been talking about raising the level cap since 1.0. Hard primal weapons level go way beyond the cap of 50. I think SE is waiting for the 2.0 players to get semi caught up to the 1.0 players. FATE exp is probably high due to 2.0 have to catch up to 1.0 players all 50 level characters. Meaning all you 2.0 players who level one class and think you are done heading for end game should think again and invest in other classes. Yes, the armor/instances are tons easier in 2.0 than it was in 1.0. They are old instances remade. Old end game content is old. It is only the beginning give it a few months more instances, battles, storyline will be added to the game. People need to quit crying and think about future content.


You haven't even touched the Coil of Bahamut where the difficulty is really challenging. Even the first boss ADS is no joke.


Honestly,
The game is very very easy, then gets a bit more complicated in Brayflox, somewhat complicated in Quarn, and after you finish the story Yoshi lets the flood gates go. So if you're looking for a challenge, FATE and open world mobs are total trash.
Go queue for Garuda hard mode, have fun!!!

When you leveled your first class to level 50, then have beaten "donjons" such as Amdapor Keep, Wanderer's Palace, and all three Primals in hard mode... everything in one attempt, then you have my permission to complain how easy the game is.

come on who play ffix in 2003 release of the Rise of the Zilart here ,that game are realy hardcore , dont told me now the game is hard , before you realy need to be good to solo 1 mob of the same level , in this game my warrior take 3 or 4 mob is amost impossible to die vs any mob of my level , yea maybe some part in the end game are more hard but is 5% to10% of all the game ? anyway i love the game and like hardcore gameplay , i realy miss soloing some nm alone a dont realy like the open target is not challenging

However, it is definitely no lie that FFXI was much more challenging than FFXIV. I doubt FFXIV will ever be as challenging as FFXI was in Pre-Abyssea days.
