Yes, this is the current activity for much of the player base, but if there is content after it, then it cant really be end game.
Calling content you do, to prepare for end game, end game is kinda redundant.
Well, a better analogy would be that -

AK is Breakfast, Lunch (Crystal Tower) didn't make it into the game, so dinner (BC) is much harder because you're starving from only having breakfast.
