Cure and Raise Etiquette, Why it works on Tiamat

I have been thinking about starting this thread for a while, but it was really a Thread “Why do you Care” over in the Healer Roles that got me motivated. Also, I think this area should have more than advertisements for Free Companies plus the 1 Weaponsmith thread. Not, to say they are not important (they obviously are), but the point of this area (As far as I understand, so if I am wrong I am sorry!) is encourage communication across the Tiamat community.

My Main Class is my White Mage (well it is the one I care most about), and as such I view myself as a Healer. Even when I play my Arcanist or Thaumaturge I will add Cure (not the Arcanist as he has his own), Protect, Raise, etc… as Cross-Class skills. When I am walking/running around (still cannot use a mount) I will generally check everyone’s health as I walk/run by. If I see someone 3/4 or less and in a fight I usually will cast a Cure or 2 on them. After a Fate I always will look around to see anyone died and Raise them. I even once Raised a person whom I just happen to pass by. Lastly, during Fates I also try to watch people’s Health bars besides just doing damage. That way I can cast a Cure or 2 to keep my fellow players alive.

Why I bring this up is the above mentioned “Why do you Care” thread, cause this server appears to be different (i.e. more kind & supportive) then many of the other Servers. On Tiamat I have cast Cured and/or Raise on easily over 100 complete strangers, but only a rare few times people say nothing*. The super-majority of the time people will say thanks (usually in Japanese, which Google translate helped there), jump up & down (common Lalafell player trait), or bow. Heck I even had someone Dance happily once, and one guy even cast Stone Skin on my Thaumaturge after I raised him to say thanks. I usually just bow back regardless, since that seems the most generic response (I hope I am not offending anyone?) to say your welcome quickly.

So, why does everyone think the Etiquette on Tiamat work so much better? Is it just luck of the draw regarding player pool personality, the fact it has more Japanese players, the fact since it is known to have people from different countries people are just trying to make a good impression? Any other reason I did not think of?

*Not saying Thank You after a Fate battle to unknown person (most people probably do not check the battle log) who was Curing them during the Fate is very understandable so I do not count them. However, even then after a few Fates I have seen someone give a general Thank You in chat to anyone who was healing them during the Fate. The point is when it is obvious who was healing you people almost always respond.
