I care because exploits like this reduce the amount of people doing other things, like non-exploitative fates, this actual fate chain

Ummmmm I've done some hours of fate grinding once and no, we still do all the other fates when we can run to them fast enough, after DD. That's why we call it a fate train. Sure if DD and another fate pop at the same time, more will do DD but there'll still be others doing the other ones if there are players closer to it.

At least on my server we still stick around for the rest of the chain.

About dungeons, I can't argue with that.
