Didn't any of you do Fellcleave parties or Astral burn parties in FFXI ? This same arguement can be applied to that, and SE NEVER changed a thing. You can level from 30-99 by just standing around while 2 people kill a ton of mobs with AoE for a ton of XP. People might consider grinding FATE an exploit, but it really IS NOT when compared to what has been allowed in the other SE game... You think AoE'ing a bunch of mobs in FFXI is going to get you banned? No, and SE always kept it that way. The only reason they would fix it is to make all you wanna-be GM's to shut up. Get with the program and grind the FATE like everyone else is for 10+ minutes. Why do you want to be an ass-hat and get rid of that method? It is like saying in FFXI, I want everyone to level up the hard way... yeah, that would not go well over there. And FFXI's game mechanices were never dictated; there were no clear objectives. You have free reign over how you level up. I do not know why people want to dictate how people level up in a game... they have no right to say how I should level or anyone else. Only thing that is making this a huge ruckus is the Fate OBJECTIVES. If that wasn't there, people would not be complaining. It just takes some people longer than others to wrap their freaking heads around the fact that you do not need to complete something, or there is no ONE way to level up.
