Dark Devices - Phase 1 Exploit

*I'm unaware of any other fates like this, but if there are any they need to be fixed.

In each Primal's "shrine area" is a FATE that pops every now and again that results in a series of boxes or crates that have to be destroyed, and a spawning series of mobs whose death doesn't count for completion. They provide experience. To complete, you must destroy all boxes. However, leaving said boxes up at 2% HP and just farming the mobs is possible.

This is also true of collection quests, where the spawns that can provide turn-in items respawn at a fairly rapid rate depending on the number of attendees. As long as no one turns in until about a minute to go, hundreds of these guys can be spawned and killed for the XP.

It's possible, but for the most part nonviable as these areas are "out of the way" or not high-level enough. Farming XP from a fairly low, early 40s level up towards 50 by doing Dark Designs - the Plea and just nuking these particular mobs over and over again is a possible, and viable method, of XP grinding the slowest leveling period in the growth curve. But there is no actual "exploit," and I suggest you look up the definition of that term and how it's applied to the gaming world.

I think you missed the part where in a party, you gain all the exp of mobs your party members kill and a lvl 20 guy can use this exploit as well to get hundreds of thousands of exp.

End of the day its a good way to get good EXP. Unfortunately its not the way it was intended therefor its an exploit and will be "adjusted".

the issue here is we dont know if the devs will see this as an exploit or just say it is working as intended, they just might to the dismay of the OP, it would be nice to actually hear what they have to say about it.

God the amount of QQing over stupid CRAP in this game is incredible. OP seriously if you feel that everyone should be playing like how YOU want then please gtfo and go play something else. EXPing has absolutely nothing to do with you and you're silly other fates and dungeon excuses. You realize that that area is a high level area where you go to for exping to cap off 50? Nobody is going to be doing stupid dungeon running for EXP at that point. The highest amount of exp that you can get is from doing fates. This particular fate spawns every 1 to 2 hours. It's not like they're spamming this every 5 mins. In that time you can get 200k very easily by spamming other fates and such. If someone wants to sit there and wait that long amount of time to do one fate for the same amount of exp then so be it. Just because you're terrible at exping this way or your job isn't cut out for AOE's doesn't mean you should make everyone suffer and want to play as YOU feel like dictatoring over the game.

If you're implying the maintenance happening at the moment is to nerf Dark Devices, you should know that the JP servers are in fact not down for maintenance. If they were nerfing Dark Devices, all servers would be down.

Anything considered not to be working by the devs and used by players to otherwise gain an advantage is an exploit. Any Dev will tell its an exploit poor design or not. You are gaining more exp than the fate was intended to give and there for players are gaining and advantage not intended by the devs aka an exploit. I think people seem to think only bugging something for an advantage now days is an exploit.

Someone said earlier in the thread people need to understand what an exploit is. 100% agree with that guy.

I don't understand where the exploit is... I got my last 50 up purely grind fetch fates with a group of friends and just not handing in the items till the last min. It was like doing DD the whole way, DD is looking like its working as intended tbh...
