    Wow. I don't even know what FATE this is but some people really need to grow up. Leveling a second combat class to 50 is just a full throttle grind and I'm wagering that's the majority of people utilizing this. So what if they do it slightly faster for a few levels? Does this really reduce quality of life for those people that are morally against grinding mobs? Just go do other FATEs. Who said people have to close the FATE as fast as possible? Why would SE have implemented bonuses for chains if they didn't want you to attempt massive chains? Etc, etc...

    i have seen people level 35 there getting level up like crazy, monster still give exp if you have AoE like the thm, arc,... you can get a tooooons of exp from this and is not the only one fate like this.

    i have seen people level 35 there getting level up like crazy, monster still give exp if you have AoE like the thm, arc,... you can get a tooooons of exp from this and is not the only one fate like this.
    You could always level up low level characters in high level parties in Final Fantasy 11. After Aht Urghan came out and the colibri camp was popular, my friends and I would take three melee DD, two bards, and one low level character of about 30-40 all in a party, with two or three dual-boxed RDMs outside party and power level the low level to 75 within a few days. Not many people knew about it (we often got surprised tells when the low level dinged), nor could many people have second characters to do things like that, but it obviously wasn't how the developers intended things to go down...but they never changed it and they even made it easier to do with the release of Abyssea.


    It's a 15 minute FATE, it's not game-breaking nor is it a long time out of anyone's life.

    having monster that is killed every 5 second for 10 minutes is not how the game work, under 49 it's simply chain exp max. the trouble is the pop really really fast.

    outside, in the world if you can keep up until chain 6-7 is nice, there if is done well you can get a pretty high number.

    by the way, you know that Fate where you grabs items from monster and around is the same pop? strangely no one is trashing you when you turn your item.

    Here's the solution folks: It's not an exploit, so if people want to grind mobs for 15 minutes, that's fine. However, if other people come in and kill the Lambs in order to complete the FATE, that's fine too; the farmers don't get to harass them about it. Solved, let's go get lunch or something.

    Sounds like someone is a bit butthurt after getting yelled at by 100 players trying to xp by finishing the FATE too early.

    200k XP in 15min was never intended otherwise all fates would potentially be as rewarding. The spawn rates for Fates are extremely accelerated. You could not generate that same amount of exp doing chains on level 50 mobs. Comparing the two is idiotic. No other source of experience even compares in the game. An example of a FATE that massive amounts of kills are intended is the "Return of the King" FATE in multiple zones.. The massive amounts of Mobs spawn but they well below the intended level range for the zone and only provide small amounts of Exp. There is also a limit to how many can be killed unlike the lvl 49 Fate in question. Things spawn as fast as they can be killed until the timer ends.

    People are taking advantage of a situation that should not exist therefore meeting the exact definition of an exploit.

    Having done this FATE myself, I was unaware of the fact that the non-FATE mobs spawn was considered an exploit. Now I kinda feel awful (even though I only used it to close a necessary level gap, I still harbor guilt towards abusing it if it indeed WAS an exploit) about my actions.

    I'd hate to be rolled back considering I was unaware of it being an exploit to begin with (since everyone kept me in the dark about it), but I think if it evens the playing field, then it's a small price to pay for what everyone'll get in return.

    If it's NOT an exploit, though, I still refuse to take advantage of it. But with that said, they (Square Enix) needs to offer an incentive against this kind of FATE - or at least alter FATEs to have some kind of reward other than EXP for doing them. Leveling is tough now that I'm out of quests - and I personally dislike stagnant repetitiveness.

    They are FATE mobs, just not the target mobs for the completion of the FATE.

    With the absolutely massive XP requirements for the last 5 - 10 levels "exploiting" (I personally don't feel this is an exploit in the against the ToS sense) this kind of mechanic is the only way to reach these levels in any reasonable length of time, and I'm still working on my first 50. As someone who leveled multiple jobs to 75 (the cap at the time) in FFXI I can say that level grinding can absolutely suck the life out of you, and your MMO. Slow and tedious leveling should never be a substitute for meaningful content.

    I don't believe so. Usually, they'd have an icon near their names if they spawned as part of a FATE, and I seem to recall them sticking around after it as well (even when the FATE in question isn't up, they're still there).

    I actually seem to recall my first attempt: we didn't get the Lambs killed in time, and only got a paltry amount of EXP. To me, it actually seems that the mobs themselves might contribute to the first phase FATE, but it doesn't seem to be what grants the biggest chunk of EXP in that particular FATE. I think the steps AFTER are what grant the biggest chunk (someone in the aforementioned party said that we lost a chance at about 30k EXP or so - I'm like to think it wasn't the mobs killed by AoEs that were the most important part).
