Comparing an obvious unintended bug to what is essentially a repeatable quest that spawns adds until a timer expires or conditions are met, isn't exactly apples to apples.

There are fifteen minute timers for the simplest of FATEs. The timer is irrelevant. I don't rush people through dungeons; also irrelevant.

I do, however, do FATEs as they're intended to be done. You may have noticed that there are objectives under this timer you seem to be so fixated on. That's what you're supposed to do to progress or complete FATEs. That's what I do. I don't abuse oversight by the developers; I play the game the way they intended. I want this fixed so people can play the game in peace rather than having impatient, entitled brats harass them because they can't earn 20x more XP than any other FATE in the game by exploiting the trash in phase one of this FATE.

I have the integrity to not abuse oversight by the developers which is more than I can say for a lot of people.

The timer is relevant. Why would you consider a timer for a fate an oversight by the devs? You have X amount of time to complete Y conditions. The event will continue until the conditions are met (Win) or the players run out of time (Lose).

That's great that you want to speed things along. Go kill the mobs then. Report douches that harass you. There isn't anything wrong with the quests, the problem is the vitriol you receive from other players. As sad as this is, that is commonplace in MMOs. I hate that people can be so cruel to each other. Report them and move along though. No need to let it get to you.

allowing players to farm infinitely spawning mobs while completely ignoring the target mobs that spawn near the mine entrance. What results is approximately 14:30 of people spamming AOE and doing nothing else in order to earn anywhere from 10,000 to 200,000 XP depending on the quality (and luck) of their group.

We will need to make adjustments to a lot of FATEs, given this "exploit", ass-u-me it is one.

All of those "hand in" FATEs have the same issue, because as long as players do not rush to hand in the items, they can farm the mobs for as long as the time limit allows, and then just batch hand in at the last minute. We do not see this kind of mob farming with these hand in FATEs is only because the guys who aren't in parties just cannot dmg the mob enough to even earn any exp point, just like how you usually will not earn any exp points in Dark Devices when playing solo.

I'm not at that level, but they have lower level FATES that work very similar to this and people do the same thing. It's not an exploit, IMO. It's smart. Pretty much the only efficient way to level up your other classes is with FATES. Dungeons give crap for exp, Guildhests and leves give crap for exp and they are limited, hunting log you run out of quickly. So FATES are the way to go, sadly. And these are a good way to get that extra bit.

This isn't an exploit. You have a fate designed to kill tons of baddies while getting to a handful of other baddies. It boggles my mind why anyone would consider using an intended game mechanic of a fate to be an exploit. If it bugs you that much, run ahead and kill the mobs. Just like someone always does for turn-in fates that spawn infinite mobs. You get 3 minutes of XP, then someone loses interest and turns in their items and runs off. No big, move to the next fate.

I can tell you though that I look forward to having this available when I level through my next job. Because anything that can speed things along at that level is helpful. It's not like there are any quests right? (Especially on your second job)

I'll tell you what Badger, i'll trade all the fate grinds in the entire stinking game for better and more quests. I would love to be able to quest through a second job, or a third job if I decided. Boy would it be sweet to not have to fate grind to level though.

The biggest problem I see here is the false reports for botting and RMT levelled at those who attempt to complete the FATE as intended. That shit needs some majorly harsh punishment.

Wow look at all the whining. How, exactly is this fate giving people a decent amount of exp affecting you in any way what so ever? Or are you just one of those people that sees others doing something fun and has to ruin it, OP?
