the only problem i have with that FATE and other FATEs with quick spawning mobs is if your not part of the 8 man groups that are doing exactly the opposite of what the FATE is asking you to do your getting absolutely nothing from it and if you actually do the FATE all the people abusing mechanics will have a huge fit and threaten you and report you for abuse and it just goes on and on.
If purposely not completing a FATE is not an exploit, actually doing the FATE certainly is not and no one has any right to be abusive to someone that isn't part of their group and wants to participate in events the way they were intended.
People that defend stuff like this so strongly seem like the type people that would buy a box of sinus medicine and go "you know it doesn't say not to cook this into meth..."
This has got to be the most unintelligent response yet. My goodness, I think my IQ just dropped a couple points after reading that.

the funny part about this thread is and yes i just read all nine pages is that everyone here has participated in the "so called exploit." So whoever was talkin about SE banning people who dont turn themselves in, would likely be banned aswell considering that news of that caliber probably wouldnt make it to the ears of say, everyone. on another note though i do believe SE has stated in an interview that they are aware of the difference in exp gain between fate and dungeon and are currently looking into faster ways to level outside of fates.

This kind of behavior is precisely why this FATE and others like it need to be adjusted. Do you really mean to say that it was the developer's intention for a mass of people to stand in place, spamming as many AOE abilities as they can while harassing, insulting, reporting, and blacklisting people who try to actually complete the FATE objectives? That by doing so, you could gain more experience than any other FATE in the game by almost 1000%? This is exactly the kind of thing I would be looking at as unintended if I was developing the game, and after what they did to Amdapor, I think it's safe to say they're going to eventually do the same to these FATEs.

It is a design flaw that people are exploiting. And frankly, anyone who thinks this should not be fixed knows they are exploiting this flaw. That is why they keep telling OP to shut up, because he is right.

This is 1.0's leveshower, garuda burn, atomos all over again, it'll get fixed in due time.

So if they nerf it or normalize the xp from it, what's the point? We level up slower? Why is that a concern?

I love this. I've yet to be in a Fate party because, well... why? The only thing claiming does is guarantee exp and drops, everyone can kill the same mob so being in a party is pretty pointless. And this is the first I've heard of this particular fate, guess I don't frequent the area enough. But this flies in the face of everything people complained about with speed runs. Instead of people whining about having to kill trash mobs, here they don't want anyone to mess with their trash mobs. If I were ever in this Fate I'd be so all over the target mobs. I'd make sure I was a class, too, so I could have all the curing abilities I could get just so I could make sure I ended it early. This IS an exploit in the very same vein as speed runs, it's just the other side of the proverbial coin.

The fate is being done as designed, to some extent. Did the devs plan that we would farm mobs till 2min left then start killing the lambs in the back? Likely not, but until they say that it is not intended or not appropriate their is absolutely nothing wrong with it.
This FATE has been being used in this way since a few days after the start of Early Access and I am sure that the devs are aware of it. If they truthfully had an issue and felt it was an exploit they could have and would have simply moved the location of the lambs (all separate in the back) to be evenly placed throughout the FATE area so we could not just skip them and farm.
next people are going to say farming the mine (where this fate is located) between fates is also an exploit since one strong AOE group will claim and kill everything so quick that no one else can get exp here between fates.
I don't think it's an exploit, but it is incredibly boring. It's kind of silly that such a menial task generates that much exp.
I'm always open to the idea that I could be wrong, but nothing about this screams exploit. Does it scream cheap and ridiculously easy? Yes and maybe that's truly the issue that those against it take with it. However, assuming that the designer/s of Dark Designs are reasonable adults, it isn't easy for me to accept that this and so many other Fates were DESIGNED, these fates didn't create themselves, this way accidentally.
Assuming it isn't an exploit, I have to say that though I'm normally on the side of the minority on these sorts of issues, the players that intentionally complete this fate just to annoy players that aren't playing the way they like come off as pretty low individuals. Say what you like about why you're doing it (seals, whatever) but the truth is that you're doing what you want to do without regard for a large group of people that will be setback as a consequence.
