God the amount of QQing over stupid CRAP in this game is incredible. OP seriously if you feel that everyone should be playing like how YOU want then please gtfo and go play something else. EXPing has absolutely nothing to do with you and you're silly other fates and dungeon excuses. You realize that that area is a high level area where you go to for exping to cap off 50? Nobody is going to be doing stupid dungeon running for EXP at that point. The highest amount of exp that you can get is from doing fates. This particular fate spawns every 1 to 2 hours. It's not like they're spamming this every 5 mins. In that time you can get 200k very easily by spamming other fates and such. If someone wants to sit there and wait that long amount of time to do one fate for the same amount of exp then so be it. Just because you're terrible at exping this way or your job isn't cut out for AOE's doesn't mean you should make everyone suffer and want to play as YOU feel like dictatoring over the game.

Poof! Maintenance to fix that bad design or exploit

If you're implying the maintenance happening at the moment is to nerf Dark Devices, you should know that the JP servers are in fact not down for maintenance. If they were nerfing Dark Devices, all servers would be down.

I don't understand where the exploit is... I got my last 50 up purely grind fetch fates with a group of friends and just not handing in the items till the last min. It was like doing DD the whole way, DD is looking like its working as intended tbh...

Compared to other exploits, this grinding is very tame. Are we duping items? No. Are we abusing a glitch that gives us 1,000,000 XP with no effort? No. You have to put in effort to kill the mobs to get XP for 10+ minutes straight. If you found a way to skip a whole dungeon, I would say that is much more serious exploit than a simple grind XP fest. If they were to fix this grinding issue in fetch FATEs or the DD FATE, they would have to seriously rework how mobs spawn in these kind of FATEs. And considering how freaking easy it is to get 1-99 in FFXI Abyssesa, I don't see how grinding can be a problem in this game with a similar, multiple jobs system. I think it's a very nice change in pace from all the questing and running around doing FATEs.

And I hardly got that much XP from grinding because so many parties were competing for mob kills.

Again, if this were commonplace in the game that would be one thing, but this is the only place (that I know of) where you can make 245,000 XP in under 20 minutes if you complete the whole chain.

When every other FATE in the game at this level rewards between 12,000-45,000 XP, you cannot honestly say this is working as intended. If it were the Lambs of Dalamud wouldn't be the target; it'd be a "Survive copious amounts of pissed off mobs for fifteen minutes."

It's absolutely not intended, but that doesn't instantly classify it as an exploit. It's an oversight that developers missed and i'm sure they'll adjust that specific fate appropriately next patch.

seriously? the only way to actually level other battle classes is through FATEs and yet everyday i read a bunch of threads and posts about how it should be nerfed and how people are leveling too fast and yada yada yada

now i've only done this particular FATE 2 times, but why do you care if someone is grinding mobs for experience? because that's literally all they're doing, you can do the same thing for those turn-in FATEs though for some reason people never do

lol no point explaining it again. Anyway I can't say i didn't use it. However it will be fixed at some point and all the people insulting the OP are going to look stupid. I can't say I care enough to make a post about it but good for him. I wouldn't even be looking if it wasn't for the servers been down lol.

As I said before, the banhammer does not care what your opinion on the matter is. If it was an exploit of game mechanics to abuse the system in a way that was not intended, then this will result in firm action. For your information, a company named Square Enix has banned people from a game named Final Fantasy XIV weeks after launch for using an exp exploit. You should stop thinking about what you think and more about what SE thinks in regards to whether action will be taken or not.

the only problem i have with that FATE and other FATEs with quick spawning mobs is if your not part of the 8 man groups that are doing exactly the opposite of what the FATE is asking you to do your getting absolutely nothing from it and if you actually do the FATE all the people abusing mechanics will have a huge fit and threaten you and report you for abuse and it just goes on and on.

If purposely not completing a FATE is not an exploit, actually doing the FATE certainly is not and no one has any right to be abusive to someone that isn't part of their group and wants to participate in events the way they were intended.


People that defend stuff like this so strongly seem like the type people that would buy a box of sinus medicine and go "you know it doesn't say not to cook this into meth..."
