Duty finder needs to be a bit more flexible on roles based on the dungeon / trial.

The Duty Finder works nice and all for most cases, but I think the fixed group composition can be an issue for a few specific battles, the most obvious of them all being hardmode Titan.

Thing is, not all content require 2 tanks or 2 healers, even for PUGs. You don't really need an extra healer for Cape Westwind or Castrum, and the last thing you need for the heart DPS race on HM Titan is two tanks. I'm pretty sure later content will also have examples where the 2/2/4 party is far from optmal, like the King Moogle battle (who ever ran that with 2 tanks?)

I believe the Duty Finder could be improved by allowing slightly different party compositions instead of "gimping" a group that's already "gimped" by the fact no one knows each other.

(Yes, I know, server shouts, do content exclusively with FC, etc. Just trying to improve a feature that's already there and people use.)

I have to agree with this, as in all fairness, it just seems lazy work to slap all content in the DF with the same setup even tho it is blatently obvious that setup is not infact the intended! Unless that Second Tank in HM Titan is actually supposed to emote /blowkiss and /dance at Titan to improve odds of winning?! ^^

Here's an idea, use the second tank is used to lure Weight of the Land away from the party.

Well simple solution is to build your own party on your server (use FC, LS, or friends) and this allows you to use whatever setup you want. It also allows you to consistently use the same party members (re specifically replace ones not ready for titan) and ensure you make progress rather then starting over at random via the duty finder each time.

I know you can do that. In fact, I do that. But, just because "You can make your own parties" doesn't mean that the Duty Finder can't or shouldn't be improved, so it's a really bad argument that sounds like "You can't easily compare gear stats, but you can write down your current gear stats and then compare to the new, no need to improve the UI". Also, as I've mentioned, Titan is not the only example where the party composition is subpar, just the most obvious.
