    Having a lot of trouble on WHM 40 quest O Brother Where Art Thou

    How in the hell are you supposed to complete the Level 40 WHM quest O Brother Where Art Thou? The 4 sprites kick my ass before I can even kill one. I use Stoneskin, Protect and Regen before the fight starts. Next, I Repose 3 of them. Trying to keep the other 3 asleep while attacking one runs me out of mana way too quick. There has to be some better way, I can't imagine that a Level 40 WHM wouldn't be able to finish a Level 40 quest.

    What am I doing wrong?

    Not sure, but I know its possible to do, my fiance did it first try, and she even admits she is horrible at doing solo stuff as a White Mage.

    I can't remember exactly what strategy I used, but it seemed pretty easy to me. I hope you're not using cleric stance? Is your gear level appropriate?

    I did this recently and honestly I was surprised at how easy it was after some of the previous quests. I think I slept ONE of them and just turned on the kill switch and tore them up. You might need to do a gear check if you're actually having trouble. If that fails, you can have a friend help you since it's not an instance battle.

    I have Loyalist's Bliaud, a Walnut Cane and other level appropriate gear as a 40 WHM. For how hard those mobs hit I don't have time enough to cure myself. I really think they hit way too hard for that level, and the fact that there's 4 of them makes it extremely difficult to manage.

    I was in full Battlemage set when I did that quest. Just slept 2 of them, they died so quickly i was surprised.

    That the one where you rescue biggs? I died a couple of times too until I realized that you have to let the NPCs tank the mobs as much as possible, dont unleash on them right away, and keep an eye on biggs, he will eventually die if you don't take on the NPCs that are attacking him first.

    I just did this one and it was pretty manageable. Here's what I did:
    1) Check that all gear on the left side (Clothing and weapon) is late 30s (38/39). Some of the jewellery too if you can manage it;
    2) Cast Protect and Cleric Stance before you trigger enemies;
    3) Sleep one of the Sprites and leave it alone until it wakes up;
    4) Use Stone II to wreck the other three. Hit one until it dies and don't unnecessarily swap targets;
    5) Cast Cure II on yourself when you hit half HP. You'll probably have to do this about four, maybe five times during this fight.

    I think I managed to go down to one third of my Mana but no more than that, and used no Mana potions, but you can use an ether potion if you think it's necessary. Good luck!
