Is server transfer going to cost money?

I was told it's free, I was told its going to cost money. What is it? Anyone know?

i'de assume that for congested world they may offer a free transfer to lower pop servers, otherwise it will be a feature that is paid for.

anyone who told you it would be free was pulling your leg. It will not be a free service.

There may be a possibility that, like WoW, they may offer free transfers off certain overpopulated worlds to low-population worlds, but to freely move from one world to another will always be a paid service.

It will be free in some fashion or another, that is for sure as they have mentioned multiple times that free server transfers are coming to fix server population issues and to allow friends to meet on the same server.

It might only be free to transfer to a new/low pop server though/or might even be the only option avail with paid transfers following later on.

They offered free transfers a few times in FFXI, but only to allow players on highly populated servers to move to less populated ones. 'Course, that was back when FFXI was popular enough to even have crowded servers.
I can't imagine them not allowing free transfers from packed servers in this game, too. It would do wonders to stabilize server populations and finally get rid of any queues.

Sever transfers are normaly paid for so me think it will cost money, but you never know, the might make it free or free some times depending on the needs like the post said about moving from a high populated servers to a low populated servers.

Im sure free transfers will go down well...just look at guildwars 2...

Free transfers!! I highly doubt SE will allow that to happen. Full servers and all, SE knew they would and will be able to make more $$ because they will just tell customers in some manner that they should have waited until the servers were stable to make a character in order to play with family / friends. It's all about the $$. Always has and always will. The only free here is the game time extensions, which were because of servers being full and lack of being prepared for a launch such as this one. Granted yes everyone mom has this issue give or take its probably not on such of a scale, or maybe it is. In either case, paid servers transfers please look forward to it.
