Just was wondering what a ballpark figure is on how many elemental shards it takes to get from 1-50 for a crafting class?
IE: weaver = wind 20k and water 20k?

Don't waste to much gil on crystals. I know you are asking about how many Crystals but this is what I did. Saved me some Gil I guess.
It's no big secret but Craftleves are what you need to be doing to get to 50. In a few days, maybe in one day if you have enough allowance. But you will need some Gil to help you. Whatever craft you are going to level you need to go to the city the guild is in ( Weaver Ul'dah) then hit up the adventurers guild. There will always be 3 to choose from. One will ask for 3 items and the other 2 will ask for 1 item, Don't do the 3 item pick one of the other two for which you can afford a HQ off the market or try to make yourself. When you trade an HQ item you get a 200% exp bonus from the npc if irc the level 45 ones I did were giving me like 198k exp or close to it. So do your homework on which one of the two single items have the cheaper HQ, Also lvl1-15 just craft items you get a bonus for the 1st time you make a new item. So making every thing will help. Also when you hit you hit level 10 don't get lazy and use quick synth for everything cause you lose 50% of the exp. I hope it helps you or anyone looking to start crafting. Cause on my server wind and fire shards cost a ton.
Very good info!!! Thanks a lot!!!
Considering you gain more xp depending on how much you move the quality bar from where it started, it depends on how well you do crafting.
Yeah, increase the HQ bar as much as you possible can.
It can triple your XP from a single synth, maybe even more.
