What you want twilight sparkles on your book? I think the book looks fine and also much better without dumb glowing effects on it as it makes it feel like a relic weapon.

The book makes me think of the comercials that offer the free booklight that comes with your snuggie. hey, at least its a 20$ value, absolutely free.

BTW does anyone know how the weapon damage factors in for casters? How does the book+1 compare to the robe +1? Statwise the robe is a bigger int jump but I was wondering about the wep damage increase maybe affecting the outcome.

It is disappointing, but at least it isn't a Titan Weapon those are ugly as heck.
I think at +1 it will be better at least, but how impressive can they make a book look? =/

Think you should have saved the 835 seals you spent on the chest and used it to +1 the book.
