You couldn't be more wrong, literally, every word of that statement is wrong.

Ever play Rift? You have about 100 skills at max level, and you can mix and match them to create your own personalized character. The only thing linear about it is you follow the main quest line, but even then, it's different depending on what class you are.

In fact, most MMO's are not linear, you have a choice, your character is can be something different than everyone elses...

In FF14, every single person has the same exact skills. You can not customize your character except cosmetically. ASS

You could always, you know, go play rift while you wait for GTA5 or the next CoD if those are the end all MMO's for you and leave this "bad joke" of a game to us 300k+ idiots who seem to somehow enjoy it... Jobs should have access to more, if not ALL of the other classes instead of being limited to a few skills in TWO class. That would allow for more diversity and flavour and would really make the armory system proud.

And with that unlimited choice, you will have theory crafters who find the most effective builds and suddenly we go all cookie cutter. Go to a progression FC and see what happens when you want to play your way. Many will tell you to experiment on your own. And unless you are a respected theorycrafter, it's cookie cutter or GTFO. Not saying the armory system is super awesome, but to think there is a choice is wrong.

Hi,

Instead of just quitting FFXIV, which I hate so much, I'm going to post my
complete outrage on the forums. I'd like to see how many people I can
troll. Also, during my postings on the forums, I'll have FFXIV open on my
other monitor and I will be playing it between postings.

Oh, and one more thing... I'll still be playing in 5 months. Just thought I
would let you all know.

Yes, the cross-class skill system is really boring with little to no choices and adds essentially nothing to the game. If the cross-class skills were given out for free to every class(the main used ones, not the optional ones NO ONE will ever pick) no one would tell the difference. It needs removed, or overhauled, subjobs were a much better system than this.

You didn't even get into Conj, SMN, or SCH ones. Oh man I get protect, aero, swiftcast..
