    they already said they will implement alternative forms of travel. the dont need to reduce anima cost or increase regneration rates. if they do that, that'll negate the need for alternate forms of travel because everyone will have so much anima you would just teleport since it would be faster.

    If you're fighting NMs or even doing anything in a group you could all meet up somewhere and have one person port. My personal philosophy is, if I have time I'll walk and if I don't I'll port.

    Pretty much agree with OP... behest overflow, traveling for leves, and repair returns drain it pretty fast as is.

    As for walking, the charm wore off after I spent about 90% of my time walking instead of playing. So I figured I could port, get my things done, and do some walking in real life instead

    My suggestion was to temporarily increase the Anima regen until they figure out what they are doing re: transportation. Once done then return Anima regen to it's previous level. Thanks for taking in my whole post.

    I totally agree with the idea of the transportation' problem.

    To my (casuals?) eyes, it's just a shame that in 2011, a game make us walk and walk and walk again.
    Why walk?
    Because the regen of animas is just too ridiculous for what FFXIV purpose

    I recently did a test, and use all the animas I wanted w/o thinking of economy:

    My journey begins in Ul'dah
    I take 5 local leves
    Ohhh shit i don't jnow the english' names of camps -_-"
    Well first camp 4 points
    second 4 points
    third 4 points
    fourth 4 points

    3 points to go in Gridania for new leves
    fifth delivery 4 points

    Some leves in mun tuy 1 point

    4 points + 1 to do some other leves at other camp

    4 to go in the camp of the evening event

    3 points to warp friend in Ul'dah

    And i don't even add linkpearl to give!!!!
    Quest to do!!!


    36 points used and a regen /day of 6 -________________________-

    I'm not satisfied at all with the answer:
    "yeah yeah we know, we're working on chocobos and airships"
    "but later, battle first"

    If they can't to do anything quickly, why not just up the anima regen???
    Even if they lower it when ships & chocobos arrive???!

    And for chocobos, i Hope we will be able to speak/give local leves results while on them

    Of course, anima aren't the only possibility
    Finish all locals leves with a pnj in city would be nice
    or being able to invite ppl in our LS from anywhere, w/o having to be face to face.
    Have a home point in city, and be able to warp in a city, and not only at the last etherite touched
    ...

    SE is working on transportation now if I recall when I read the last letter. If they continue to take longer than they are having issues in the coding(my first guess) or some other matter. Like everything else you just have to be patient. The team has a lot of mess to deal with and fix.

    It's not against you, or against Square Enix (or a little for them) huhu

    But enough of "patient", or " this need a lot of time to fix/to test"

    They bring the anima's recovery to 1 anima each hour,
    And when they release their Chocobos, or what they want, they bring the anima regen to 1 each four hours
    This wouldn't need six month to work on è_é


    I'm okay to wait:
    Manqo'tes YeaH \o/
    Quests
    News zones
    News mobs
    News battle system
    news jobs
    Privacy house
    More storage
    ...

    But there is an easy way to solve the transportation problem, a quick and easy solution

    Man I guess Chocobos should instantly teleport you to grid coordenant on the map too right? Because running the chocobo takes a hell of alot longer than warping with Anima.

    What do you think I guess of you with the way you're answering?

    I'm not trying to be superior and depreciate the way others play!
    I'm trying to show how more fun I (we?) would have with more appropriated transports.


    Do you often do locals leves?
    Do you find each time fun having to walk hours in order to deliver yours results?
    Do you invite (use anima for) people regulary in your shell? (I' don't do it regulary, but I think to people doing so)
    Is fun for you to take more than one hour to finish a quest starting in Ul'dah and finishing in Limsa just because of the distance?


    There's maybe a balance between the 6 anima recovery per day, and my pretending instant teleport everywhere will grr
