    In-Game Performance "Lag" (Micro Stuttering)

I have searched through the forums and I apologize if there is a dedicated thread to this specific situation but I feel a lot of threads including this issue are about more general problems.

I am not at home but can update the exact specs of my machine when I get a chance but I feel the real issue is surrounding AMD Graphics cards.

I use an AMD Radeon 6850.

Since I began playing, I have always noticed a minor "slowing" of performance every 1-2 seconds that gives a bit of a rubber band feel to movement. Nothing has changed as of yet, I still notice the same effect no matter the settings I use. (I also play in full screen)

I have read many places where ATI outperforms AMD and there are known issues with some cards? That may be the case but I benchmarked at over 7300 during P4. So it doesn't seem to be an issue with the load on the card.

Anyone else experiencing this specific effect while playing?

I will admit that it is much less noticeable in non-congested areas or instances.

Just a heads up, this could be related to V-Sync - diablo 3 has had issues like this since release and it still isn't fixed. I'm not sure if FF14 even takes advantage of V-sync as there is no option in game though.

There is also a setting that could be causing it. I cant remember exactly but the setting causes a blur effect on movement. I cant log on atm or I would tell you exactly what it is.
    Good Luck.

Thanks for the replies, I will look into my graphic settings for V-sync but It does not have to do with the blur setting, that I am sure of.

I had micro stuttering issues with frame limiter on at 60fps pre patch, so I ran with no fram limiter like I usually do. Since the patch however I get massive micro stuttering with it turned off. If I turn it on to 60fps limit, the stuttering goes away.

An odd thing with this is also that usually when you run without v-sync/fps limiters on, you get a horizontal "waterline" at times when fps goes above 60fps. This does not happen when it's currently turned off, instead you get stuttering. Now you get that "waterline" when you have framelimiter on. Previously limiter gave me stuttering with no waterline, but now no limiter gives me stuttering and no waterline.

I will run with fps limiter until they fix it, the fps is at a steady 60fps everywhere except heavy populated cities/fates where it drops to 30-40 at times. But that was the case with no limiter aswell, only difference was open world where it went up towards 100fps etc.

    This should help.

It solved the issue for my 7950.
