    Like many others, I don't want to rush to complete new content and I don't want to do content after it's been nerfed. If they really do this it will lower my motivation to play a lot. Like many others, I don't have unlimited hours to put in gaming and I can't or wan't to use all my play time doing the newest endgame content while I have LS/FC members to do story fights and dungeons and all kinds of things with. Even with my exceptionally many play hours since launch I haven't even finished a relic yet and I've completed the main story 2 weeks ago. That doesn't mean that I want things easy, that only means that I want to progress at my own pace (and the pace of my LS/FC mates) while still being able to experience content as it's been designed to be experienced.

    I vote for no nerf and no level cap increase. I'm a casual and I realize that there is just some content that I won't be able to see. "But, but...we paid for it!" You paid for a service. Sometimes you don't get the full benefit of a service, but you got the service anyway. Ever not use all your phone minutes? Have you never thrown food out? Also, every time a level cap increase occurs, all those shiny high level gear you did nightly grinds for a month are now meaning less. You want to make more difficult endgame content? Do it but don't increase the level cap. Make vertical gear progression and high end skill acquisition part of the end game experience. Develop casual end game for those of us not "leet" enough to grind through repeated raids, but leave the current end game experience for those of us who want to but at our own pace.

    So... does this mean you're fixing server delay, then? Because that's all it would take to nerf anything.

    I would really love to see the difficulty adjustments become optional. Some of us progress slower just because we have other obligations. It feels so sad to be deprived of the difficult content just because we don't consume content as quickly.

    Maybe adopt the WOW model of a "+x% to damage dealt, +y% to healing done, -z% to damage received" buff that can be deactivated in stages? And activate the buff by default. When people turn it off, they get extra loot for each stack of buff turned off.

    E.g.
    • 20% buff - max buff, people get the same quantity of loot as before the buff
    • 10% buff - turn off 1 stack, people get 1 extra piece of loot at final boss
    • 0% buff - turn off all stack, people get 1 extra piece of loot per boss

    I often hear that the point of easing off on old content is so people can catch up quickly and/or people can get past it after being stuck. In that case, this system allows those who got stuck to get past it, while at the same time letting those who have the skills but not the time to catch up quickly yet not feel like they're being handed boring wins just because they can't invest more time in the game each week.

    People who's actively doing new content could also come back and have better chance of farming for that one piece they really want.

    First of all, this discussion has happened in a lot of mmo's on one hand you have the "hardcore" players who sit around running raids all day, and getting angry if someone they see as "less skilled" players get the gear they have, on the other hand we have the casual players who buy the game, want to enjoy it to the fullest and have fun with it until endgame, where they are put down by hardcore players for not being hardcore themselves. You can't just say "they can see the content fine on youtube" thats not why you buy a game, if you went to gamestop, bought a game, came home and it was a youtube video, you would not be satisfied, instead of increasing or lowering difficulty, can't we just keep it at a level where both new / casual players can do it, and still have the hardcore players be able to do it aswell. Yes i understand that some of you enjoy a challenge, thats not everyone though, some people like feeling "heroic" in a game where you are made out to be "heroes".

    If you want an answer that i think would satisfy all, is an option (maybe with some gameplay) that would make the boss harder like, i don't know, an npc standing near the encounter that you can talk to and he will say or do something enraging the boss further, increasing its damage and hp, ofcourse he would drop some better gear like maybe the same endgame 50 gear just with increased stats? My point is we can't just satisfy one side, because then the other side would not enjoy the game as much, which is not fair.

    I really do not like the idea of making previous dungeons easier as new ones are introduced. Sure this isn't going to impact my current main job, but I plan to level multiple jobs, and would want progress through those dungeons at its original difficulty.
