Implying getting a full darklight set is difficult looking at how easy Castrum farming is :/ I agree with the relic weapon though. I would try Titan too, but it is so hard finding a Titan group as a tank ): Though I would want Ifrit and Garuda somewhat buffed.Hmm Yoshi has stated this from the beginning, If I were you I would leave crafting till after running these things because they will be nerfed. Thats why I am trying to finish my darklight set and finish my relic now that it's hard. And I believe that this is what everyone that wants hard content should do.
Have any of you people whining about stuff being too easy actually done Titan hard mode (without being carried/paying your way through) or attempted the Binding Coil yet?
If yes and you still believe things are too easy, then you sir/madam, are insane. If you answered no, then you sir/madam have no legs to stand on.
Took me 2 weeks to win Titan, but I learned the fight I learned the script and I hated myself for not figuring it out first
Coil is supposed to be hard not everybody should be able to go there!
nah what i meant was that getting the relic weapon now was hard lol. There will be ifrit garuda and titan extreme so you can look forward to that.
the game is perfectly fine the way it is, it has a nice sweet spot i think
a lot of Japanese players complained that the fights were too hard and SE has answered their complaints.
As a super casual player (I play like a snail cause I'm leveling 4 crafting classes at the same time as my main class) I welcome the "easyness".
In the past, games that become so ridiculously difficult become frustrating to a casual player and we end up quitting because we don't have all day to grind over & over until we "get it right."
Sure the hard core crowd are gonna be upset but its the "casuals" that are mostly fueling this game because we have to be at work most of the day so when we get home, we want to relax and enjoy the game, not be smacked in the face with frustration.
I agree and kudos to you for learning the pattern and downing him in two weeks. Quite the accomplishment really, so well done.
I think that the main storyline continues with bahamut coil so everyone has to get thru there eventually.
Not hoping for nerfs, just more options for doing shit.
More options for leveling alt classes, grinding tomestones, etc.
Difficulty doesn't bother me so much, but lack of viable shit to do to get certain things done is what wears away at my patience sometimes.
Whippet, I agree with some of what you say. You're freaking out though like the world is going to end. If you figured out the content and it is indeed easy (relatively speaking) to you now, why do you care if they nerf it for others if while simultaneously they give NEW DIFFICULT or even EXTREME content. They are doing what its called making everybody happy at the same time. You're griping makes you no better than the whiners that complain everything (even solo stuff) is too hard. Let it be and stay in your own world like most of the good players do. As long as challenging content, new content, and good stories are provided just roll with it dude (or dudette). Why make a stink that will go unheeded? Don't be a troll, please.
Just warning, nerfing old content every time new content comes out is a good way to make players feel their achievements mean nothing, which is bad for an mmo. Speeding up progressions somehow (though not too quickly) is a better direction to take as opposed to simply making it easier/easy which makes players feel their effort was wasted and likely less liable to redo with other players.Greetings,
I’m happy to see that you adventurers are up for a good challenge and ready to get down and dirty with some difficult content!
Of course in addition to supplementing the end-game with extreme battles and other challenging content, we will also reduce the difficulty of the existing high level content at the same time, as Yoshida has mentioned in previously during Letter from the Producer LIVE.
We're always reading and reporting your feedback, but please understand that when we introduce new content and supplement higher-level events, it allows us to ease up on earlier content. (Of course there will be things added in patch 2.1 that isn't focused on end-game.)
We’ll be announcing details about the specific content to be released in the near future, but I wanted to just remind you about the general plan.
Why try not when it will be handed out later?
edit: also, if your going to make harder content while making older content easier, doesn't that create an odd jump in difficultly for players who come in late?
