I agree with OP. Please do not make this game mind-numbingly easy. Leveling is already FAR too easy but thats w/e as long as end game stuff is hard.

I agree, I like to work for the really good stuff in this game, I don't want to be spoon fed with it.
yeah i agree with OP that the game should be harder or at least have 2 versions of the fight at 50 for those wanting the normal content and those who want to go the extra mile and have the toughest fights.
currently i think the game is a bit at the easy side.
I like the solution to have HM and NM version of the content, this way you can cater to casuals and people with more ambition/time. As long as the casuals realize that the time they can invest into the game will directly correlate with the rewards they will get (i.e they shouldn't expect the same type of gear as those doing HMs).
HM/NM of the same content is a free pass for lack of content from a dev. Look at WOW - it went from having variety of content to having the same content redone in four different forms (at least, I think it is four now..)...
That being said - nerfs have their place after a tier of content as a catchup mechanism to help new players get caught up in gear while not just handing them the gear.
Um they already have a Harder mode arriving. Still can't wait to see the Raging and Tears from those Rushers trying to get all those content done.
Patch 2.1
Good King Moogle Mog will returning as a boss fight. More than likely he will be accessible through the duty finder. Please look forward to it.
A new difficulty for Ifrit, Garuda, and Titan fights will be added in this patch as well. They haven’t quite decided if they’ll call them hard, super, ultra, extreme, or any other awesome intense name. I can see it now. “Ifrit, for real this time”.
Two hard level dungeons and the Crystal Tower, a 24-man raid dungeon, will be added.
Also new Hildibrand quests and FATEs are being added. If you didn’t know, Hildibrand was a comic relief NPC from version 1.0. He has his own… unique sense of humor.
The Wolves Den, a 4v4 and 8v8 arena will be opening in this patch. You can travel to it by boat from Lower La Noscea, and to enter the arena you must use the Duty Finder.
And lastly, Mists, the La Noscea player housing region will be unlocked in 2.1. Houses are available to Free Companies and individual players for a monetary value.

This game needs subs more than most other MMOs because of how in the red they are. If you don't think they'll cater to the bigger populace. You're insane. Nerfs will happen if it means more subs.
I like the current difficulty level and don't think anything needs to be nerfed. Some fights / dungeons are easy / semi-easy and some are tougher which is nice.
Something I would like to change in the encounters to come is the amount of instant-death abilities. Yes, I know, we should learn to move and all that but come on... there must be other ways of making an encounter hard other than "if you get hit by this it's a wipe".

Dear Chimera: Sorry Chimera the thousands of players you have wiped find you too easy. You must upgrade your self to shoot insta kill rockets out of your ass and perma death lasers out of your eyes. Pew pew pew.
