I agree with this, for sure. With that said, we're working on Turn 5 right now.
What I don't want to see is this game go down the path that people are worried about it going down, that's all. Currently I'm very happy with the state of things![]()

Square is in the business of making money. If content is too hard for people they will ultimately ax their subscription and thus taking money away from Square. Does Square want to cater to the minority hardcore players at the cost of losing revenue?
Ah, It's this thread....
Troll OP claims that content he hasn't even done is too easy - CHECK
Small legion of 'hardcores' that can't discern the difference between victory through time spent / learning by simple repetition and 'skill' - CHECK
Disillusion from said hardcores that anyone really cares about their special gear, and that they, the tiny minority are ever going to dictate the flow of the game - CHECK
Disdain and patronisation from the above to the very people that are paying the vast majority of the cost of developing the content - CHECK
Butthurt 'I spent 16 hours a day for 3 weeks to get these pixels so nobody else that doesnt play this way should have them' attitude - CHECK
Grow up, 'hardcores' , you're an anachronism. Any succesfull MMO realises it's priority is to cater to as many demographics as possible, not to feed your fragile ego.
Like many others, I don't want to rush to complete new content and I don't want to do content after it's been nerfed. If they really do this it will lower my motivation to play a lot. Like many others, I don't have unlimited hours to put in gaming and I can't or wan't to use all my play time doing the newest endgame content while I have LS/FC members to do story fights and dungeons and all kinds of things with. Even with my exceptionally many play hours since launch I haven't even finished a relic yet and I've completed the main story 2 weeks ago. That doesn't mean that I want things easy, that only means that I want to progress at my own pace (and the pace of my LS/FC mates) while still being able to experience content as it's been designed to be experienced.
I vote for no nerf and no level cap increase. I'm a casual and I realize that there is just some content that I won't be able to see. "But, but...we paid for it!" You paid for a service. Sometimes you don't get the full benefit of a service, but you got the service anyway. Ever not use all your phone minutes? Have you never thrown food out? Also, every time a level cap increase occurs, all those shiny high level gear you did nightly grinds for a month are now meaning less. You want to make more difficult endgame content? Do it but don't increase the level cap. Make vertical gear progression and high end skill acquisition part of the end game experience. Develop casual end game for those of us not "leet" enough to grind through repeated raids, but leave the current end game experience for those of us who want to but at our own pace.
Lala Pugilist - When you absolutely positively need something punched in the feelers.
wow watch the content in youtube? you must be joking.
some people around here lack sense or haven't played any other recent successful mmo

So... does this mean you're fixing server delay, then? Because that's all it would take to nerf anything.
Q20: Will we ever be able to send tells from within an instanced area?
A20: While the feature can be implemented, it’s currently masked. It’s currently masked because we would like to prevent players from harassing each other just because they know they would never party together in the future. We will continue to monitor the situation carefully as we move forward.
I really do not like the idea of making previous dungeons easier as new ones are introduced. Sure this isn't going to impact my current main job, but I plan to level multiple jobs, and would want progress through those dungeons at its original difficulty.

FFXI is still up and running for you elite players who think your the gods while the rest just want to play game for fun and enjoy with friends. MMO wasn't made for hardcores or just casuals, it was made for gamers to play with friends period. MMO is Multiplayer experience not hardcore experience. OP can really play FFXI for hardcore elements. Square has a game for everyone in online community now.
