    Shield Bash

    Hey everyone, I have noticed as I have progressed in level and have run more of the Duty Dungeons a interrupt is becoming more and more important. As a Pally tank I don't believe our Shield bash should be on the 2.5 GCD with all our other skills. I would like to see them change it to it being on a timer CD. I would rather be able to rotate the CD with other party members to ensure I get the interrupt when I need it. Please let me know what you think. Thanks in Advance!

    Paladin's lv 45 ability "Spirits Within" is an off-GCD silence with a 30 sec CD. That is what we have for off CD interrupts. Between the other classes, they share more than enough stunning capability to cover our lack-thereof when main tanking.

    Usually the main tank does not stun, it is the off tanks duty to stun. When you are first learning a fight you might need to just sit there and auto attack so you can have your gcd up to stun the move you need. As you learn the fights, you'll know around what time the abilities will be used and can weave whatever skills in that you want during the meantime. i do think it kind of sucks that someone basically just has to be a stun mule but i guess that's how it goes. If you are running with a group of friends however you can easily coordinate stuns/silences so that you are not the only one doing it.

    Can you guys look at the following video I put out. It is a guide for Ifrit at level 20, but I want your opinion on the Eurption not being interrupted.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IBqR14-pNIQ I am not sure if it is me or the timing in game, but it worked everyone once in while. Thanks

    Because your stun is on the global cooldown, it is nearly impossible to stun every erruption, you'll usually stun it too late. in end game 8 man raids your offtank will usually be dedicated entirely to stunning the boss. In addition, you can stun ifrit 3 times before he becomes resistant to it and will no longer be interrupt-able. In ifrit hard mode, his resistance resets every time he uses his charge move so it's not a big deal, I'm not sure what the case is for ifrit normal mode. This is important however because you need to make sure that your other classes aren't trying to stun the boss as well, other wise he'll take 3 stuns on his first errupt and then will be immune until his resist resets.

    You can interrupt all Ifrit's Eruptions, but you've to be the only party member attempting to do it since it increases his stun resistance with every use. But, if you don't stun him for a while, you'll be able to interrupt its skill, but, again: YOU HAVE TO BE THE ONLY ONE DOING THAT.

    Ok, so I was tlaking about this with my FC and they were having problems with him on HM. The off tank should be the only one to stun and if so Ifrit will not resist the stun/interrupt? Thanks in advance

    Today I fought him twice just to check that. Yes, you actually have to be the only one in charge of the stun. You must tell the rest of the party to not try to stun him with anything. Also, we fought him without BLM, showing that is possible to win the battle without his LB. Many of our party members were in doubt about it... so sad they only depend on just one tactic.
