Copy Paste text from Chat log to other window, why sometimes possible, sometimes not?

For example, my friend inside game want to give me some link of video to look at youtube. I will need to copy that link from in-game chat log into my browser. However, most of the time I can only copy and paste that link inside game chat log, and it seem to not allow me to let me paste it outside.

Then, there is some case when I could do that. So I m not sure what trigger this, any in setting?

Sorry but I have not encountered this problem at all. I can hold right click and drag over the desired chat words to highlight them, then ctrl C to copy and then ctrl V to paste into a wordpad, web search etc. Never had a time when it didn't work.

Some of my friend says he can't make it to work too. but in his case, he never make it work at all.

I m wondering if this related to any setting on the config, or it is issue about window 8 and some setting.

I had this problem once. First everything worked fine and one day I couldn't copy text from game to outside. A couple of days later when I tried again it had started working. No idea if I did anything myself to make it work again.

I'm not sure how to help you guy.. Never had issues here, other than that I noticed you cant copy and paste if there's more than one paragraph, just one paragraph you can paste.

In the case with people who have this issue. it doesn't matter whether it is one paragraph or not. Simply the game just not allow you to copy paste message to any outside source.. I don't know how to fix this, but I noticed I sometimes can.

some1 told me to copy ingame text to a notepad then onto the website, etc. troublesome, but works.

Hmm, I know this is a bit of a necro. But I, for some reason, can't copy/paste anything from the chatlog. I can copy a link from my browser same as usual, but the game does not let me paste it into the chat. Is there something I'm missing? I haven't been able to do this since I started playing and I have no idea why when other people seem to be able to do it no problem.
