Its called "Hunting Log" for a reason, ya know, because you have to uhhh Hunt for them? maybe? just a little? kinda?I'd say adding POS to the log would be nice, or some kind of mini-map marker or tracking. Sometimes (I'm looking at you Mildeweed Goobbue) finding mobs with very few spans can get kind of annoying.
I'd love to see repeatable "PARTY" lists, something to re-create FFXI style parties would be fun.
it does not make sense to kill 3 mobs for 6.300 xp then have to kill 3 of this 2 of that and another 2 of that (7 in total) for 6.500 xp, that's only 200 xp more for loads of mobs to kill its pointless

the hunting log's purpose, apart frm giving u exp, is encouraging you to explore and see more variety of monsters.
also, you dont have to tele - you could taje an airship and ride - you are only tele-ing cuz its convenient, so be ready to pay the price.

The log tends to follow the adventure and class story arc locations. You don't actually have to go out of your way at all on your first char. Some mobs are also provided almost for free by being used in fates, and often at lower levels than if you find them in the official location. All you need is 1 instant DPS attack or to be quick on your feet. In my experience it's good easy experience and gets you to really explore areas you're in rather than just blitz in and out.
Everybody always wants a "that was easy" button- having the mobs spread out like they are definitely was intentional, and instead of complaining maybe you should try to appreciate the intent. I agree with many of the above posts- the are grouped they way they are to encourage you to explore, experience, and appreciate the game that has been put together. EXP is only an additional 'perk'
You're not forced to teleport, that's a luxury afforded to those willing to spend gil as the cost of convenience. It wouldn't take you very long to simply ride a mount - or even sprint - to the required location, though you could also rely on the chocobo porter service which is a lot cheaper than teleportation provided you've unlocked the destinations.

This might just be me, but I found that, in the entries where you needed to kill 6-7 mobs vs 3-4 mobs, the monsters were a bit weaker in the 6-7 mob instance. They didn't seem to hit as hard as other mobs in their level range and had less hp. Again, that is just my feeling when I was fighting them.ok so when you look at the hunters log for instance lets say conjurer rank 2, the first thing you need to kill is 3 stone shells for 6.300 xp but then you need to kill 3 diseased treants 2 lead coblyn and 2 laughing toads for 6.500 xp .... why do I have to kill 7 mobs for 300 xp more than the stoneshells it doesn't make any sense at all, if I keep going down the list the one after that number 23 on the conjurer hunters log rank 2 is only 3 eft's for 6.700 xp ?? were is the consistency on the hunters log ?? some of them are silly like 10 mobs for 200-300 more xp than the last plz change this ....
Ok, so it's actually really simple. If you look at the list more closely you will see that they are actually listed in order of difficulty. As you work through the list you will get stronger to help you take on the harder ones later, making putting them in order of location completely pointless.

Seems like a pretty minor thing to gripe about...
Wait until you start doing the GC logs and are required to enter dungeons that nobody queues for![]()

Dude op... I am sorry from the bottom of my heart, half the replys were like selective reading. Had nothing to do with the question. I understand what u mean and I think they could have broke it down and gave less xp per type
Killed but keep the total amount the same, but I just had to lol over all the replys like one person saying no no no because they got a level and a half... No were in your post does it mention nerfing the log or the xp.... Anyways I think that would make more sense.
