Spell/Ability black-flashing

so uh, its probably not super high on everyones list of improvements, but i just havent seen many other people mention it.
Anyone else feel the darkening every-single-freaking-time-anyone does a spell or ability is a bit incessant/too often/over the top? especially in a group?

i like the idea but feel it should be left for crits only.

It only does it for weaponskills.
