"Frankenstein never scared me. Marsupials do. They're fast."
I think there's a quest to learn how to swim somewhere in Limsa...
Joke aside, you can't until you do the level 15 quest sorry
Boooo, and a hearty LOL to the joke. Thanks for the info ^^

Why would you want to leave, a majority of the dungeons and quests are based off the story line. Even if you Fate Party to 50, you still have to turn around and do the low level quests to advance the story to unlock things. Almost everything in this game is story based, not level based. If you are trying to play with friends, just rush through the quests to level 15, it can easily be done in a single play sitting just by following the quest lines.
Even if you skip the quests and just rush to level 15, you still cant leave until you unlock the option in story quests, so you might as well just buckle down and do them.
Just to be clear, there's nothing stopping you from leaving. You can run to the other cities on foot if you really want. Its just a long trip, and a dangerous one at that. If you really feel the urge, it's possible. You'd be better off with a high level escort to handle aggro if you can find one, and you will have to go back to progress the story.
Isn't there a boat that takes you to Thanalan![]()
Actually I believe Limsa is the only exception. You can't take the ferry until level 15.Just to be clear, there's nothing stopping you from leaving. In Beta3 there was a ferry in Outer La Noscea that cost 50,000 gil to take you away earlier than airships.
you can go inland just takes time and you may get killed by strong enemies. Take lots of potions and a strong friend.

Wow, arrogant much? If he says he wants to leave, he wants to leave. Maybe he wants to pick up a job from another city. Maybe he's not playing with the "race to 50" mentality and just wants to tour the world. Maybe he doesn't care about the main storyline. Maybe he wants to be a crafter and doesn't care to raise his combat job right now.Why would you want to leave, a majority of the dungeons and quests are based off the story line. It wouldn't kill SE to make this option available to people. If you can do it between Ul'dah and Gridania, you should be able to leave Limsa Lominsa as well.
