TY so much for the translations Rinsui! I really appreciate it I'm always interested in knowing what other players of other cultures feel about the game, and it's cool to know they agree with us on almost everything.

@Burn, No, just no. Why should the game start "at the level cap"? I'm sick of this way of thinking. Why even have a leveling process at all if any retard can get to the cap quickly and easily? Might as well remove leveling at that point.

It should be about the JOURNEY, not the destination. Stop with the instant gratification crap please. The journey sucks, it's horrible, it's boring, it's easy, my cat can play my class and get level 50 for me. Horrible horrible design. It doesn't even matter if we party up and can play 30-50, because it's boring, easy, and we're all basically leeching while we press 1111111112.

No person had an easier time getting 75, maybe if you were lazy and didn't make your own parties, or you sucked at the game, then sure. I always invited good players, no matter their class. I kept track of good players and always invited them back, I leveled just as fast on all my jobs(Bard sch dnc ninja paladin). Sure it's easier to create a good party if I'm a healer, or a tank, or a support, but it ends up at the same speed in the long run. I had so many days where I couldn't find DD's, while having a healer/tank/support :/. When I first got the game and was still learning stuff I leveled slow. You know why? BECAUSE I SUCKED. I WAS TRASH. I WAS NOT WORTH INVITING. Does this matter in FF14? Nope, not at all! Good design! Good players always leveled faster than bad players, class had nothing to do with it, end of story, the end.

I made so many good friends, I met so many cool people, and I had so much fun with the "long leveling" system of FF11. Every fight was hard, we were always striving to improve, and work together better. Getting that chain #5, getting that chain #6, striving for a #7, even trying to get higher and higher. We were rewarded for our work, we were rewarded for teamwork, skill, trying, paying attention, etc. This game is the complete opposite , you're never rewarded. You're actually encouraged to NOT PAY ATTENTION EVER. if this is the way MMOS are going to be designed, then I want nothing of it anymore. MMOs should have long lasting power, high replay value, and never be beatable. What everyone wants is MMOs to be like WOW or rift, a game I literally pick up(I've done this multiples times, did it twice in WOTLK and once in CAT + once in rift) and "beat" the game in 1-2 months. That's a joke, I'm sorry, but that's a COMPLETE JOKE.

I seriously can't get over this way of thinking "Level50 should be easily accessiable and the game should start at the cap".................it's just so stupid I have no words to describe it. I hate it, I hate it, I HATE IT. Is there a way we can completely delete that way of thinking from everyone in the universe?
I'm sorry, I don't mean to flame but thats such a masochist way of thinking. It is VERY obvious you have very little MMO experience outside of FFXI. You don't even realize if they slow the leveling down even more by forcing party play no one is going to come back to play because forced party mechanic is OLD and OUTDATED by almost a decade. Remember, SE is trying to get players back interested whom many bailed from the game back in October so they can start making some money back off a monthly fee. I've read tons of forums from all over that the major gripe with FFXIV outside of the bad UI and other design flaws was that the game is just "too slow paced." Every modern MMO that has come out is pretty fastpaced these days, FFXIV is not currently which is why we're seeing all these revamps about to take place.

Let me ask you this, how did the insane grind work out for Aion? Nuff said.

The game should be focused on gameplay, it shouldn't be focused on sitting there all day looking for a party. Not only are your ideas bad, its just not the current model of how MMO's function in a post-WoW era where gamers are looking for that MMO that can be different from WoW but not be such an insane grind like an AION.

FFXIV is all about how long you're willing to do tedious things, how is this model fun at all? let me even go farther cause you bring up WoW, you realize WoW is a challenging game right? Look how many guilds are 13/13 heroic raid progress in the world, maybe 150-200 tops when you factor in tens of thousands of guilds that raid. You also say that "you're never rewarded. You're actually encouraged to NOT PAY ATTENTION EVER" In WoW if you're not paying attention during a raid boss you WILL more than likely wipe the entire raid from either standing in something that explodes or chaining 10 other people in blocks of ice killing them. FFXI is a very poor example and i'll even go farther to tell you why.

FFXI was NOT hard, please stop with the BS, I can't speak for post 75 FFXI cause I quit when the cap was 75 but this was the basic HNM fight in FFXI.

    Elegy
    slow II
    Hope my pld/nin or rdm/nin can count to 3, 4 if nin/drk.
DD which was all BLM's and SMN's if fighting Tiamat, Faf/nid or 90% of older HNM.
Melee DD if it was a TOAU HNM.
If TOAU HNM watch to stun the big wtf move when mob reached 35% health.

    Eventually fights became Melee Zergs

Nothing was challenging in XI, I took my WAR from 37-75 in less than two weeks when ToAU content was current back before the caps went up. I was in an upper Tier guild that cleared everything but AV when I had quit, (PW wasent out yet) To even prove my point further, I had a THF friend that took 3 months to go from 1-75 and he played 8hours a day. Not only did I blast by him with my WAR because it was 100x more popular of a job but I was also capped out on merits which required 100's of thousands of exp just as he was hitting level 75, he played everyday and spent most of his time seeking.

I also took my BLM from 1-75 in about a month at the beginning of the CoP expansion before manaburn parties ever came about, again, not hard, the job was just popular.

Getting really tired of people calling FFXI a challenge back in its heyday when all the game was about was battling the poor drop rates from the HNM mobs had, dynamis, salvage etc. FFXI was faceroll, I really have to question the quality of players that struggled a whole lot in leveling up in XI. Just because it took you a long time to hit 75 back in the day doesn't mean the leveling was hard.

Just for argument sake, I was nothing special in XI. I don't want to come off sounding like i'm trying to toot my own whistle but at one point in time I did everything the game had to offer and NONE of it was a challenge.
