i know healings my job and all,but on a fight like that if i have to take time to chase ppl down just to heal them,the tanks gonna end up dead.

almost every job gets physick,if not they get potions. and if those fail,simply running near me will net you some heals

Not saying you are wrong but sometimes is best dps keep some distance, boss fights tend to target random party menbers and getting the healer killed with an AoE (Garuda) won't help my party.

yeah i get that,but they keep distance at all the wrong times,they are either stacking on me or the pillars causing us to get hit by aoe damage for first 20% of boss,or all the way across the field away from rest of party just standing behind a pillar,a pillar that has no adds on it,and dying to unavoidable damage. it just gets annoying

The only "Job" with access to Cure or Physik are BLM,WHM,SMN,SCH, and PLD, Out of those Jobs none of the DPS should be very far from you. The other DPS which will be far from you only have access to Second Wind and Bloodbath, neither is reliable for every bit of damage that happens.

Most healers dump a bunch of heals on me before I can even pop second wind and they manage to heal the tank and anyone else who needs it fine. If you can't deviate heals while everyone else does their jobs that they are supposed to do. Maybe healing is too stressful for you.
